Aprendiendo a vivir
Have you ever thought if we really know how to live? Having breath and life force is important, but have you ever asked yourself if you enjoy living, if in your life there is harmony and peace?
Recuerdo unos años atrás cuando vivía con mis padres y le decía esas palabras a mi mamá, tenemos que aprender a vivir porque observaba mucho que habían familias que vivían peleando, se molestaban y en vez de sentarse con calma a resolver sus problemas , algo pequeño se convertía en una guerra campal.
I remember a few years ago when I lived with my parents and I used to say those words to my mother, we have to learn to live because I observed a lot that there were families who lived fighting, they got upset and instead of sitting down calmly to solve their problems, something small turned into a pitched war.
Desde mi punto de vista, eso no es saber vivir, no siempre es fácil pero siempre debería ser importante mantener la paz y tener abiertas las vías de comunicación para el bienestar de todos.
From my point of view, that is not knowing how to live, it is not always easy but it should always be important to keep the peace and have open lines of communication for the welfare of all.
Cuando la otra persona siente que la escuchan y piensa que su opinión es valorada en ese momento, puede presentarse la oportunidad para que exista un diálogo que lleve a una comunicación asertiva.
When the other person feels that he/she is being listened to and thinks that his/her opinion is valued at that moment, there may be an opportunity for a dialogue that leads to assertive communication.
Al contrario si la persona siente que solo están allí para invalidar lo que está diciendo su reacción probablemente será negativa, no permitirá que le den sugerencias incluso puede que no continue esa conversación.
On the contrary, if the person feels that they are only there to invalidate what they are saying, their reaction will probably be negative, they will not allow suggestions to be given and may not even continue the conversation.
Por esa razón, pensemos siempre si nuestra reacción va a permitir que las cosas marchen bien o por el contrario serán la chispa que encenderá una discusión.
For that reason, let's always think about whether our reaction will allow things to go well or on the contrary will be the spark that will ignite an argument.
Si constantemente luego de que hablamos la conversación termina abruptamente o se convierte en una discusión, no estamos viviendo realmente porque no tenemos paz y ¿si no conservamos la paz entonces que tenemos?
If constantly after we talk the conversation ends abruptly or turns into an argument, we are not really living because we do not have peace and if we do not keep the peace then what do we have?
En pocas palabras angustia, no lo permítamos, ciertamente eso no será fácil; llegar a ser apacibles, pacientes y positivos en nuestras relaciones con los demás, pero valdrá la pena el esfuerzo.
In short anguish, let's not allow it, certainly that will not be easy; to become peaceful, patient and positive in our relationships with others, but it will be worth the effort.
Comparto tu reflexión a lo largo de mi vida me he dado cuenta que familiares, amigos y vecinos, de una tontería hacen una película con varias secuelas, se ahogan en un vaso de agua sin darse cuenta, he aprendido a quedarme callado y escuchar, si levantan la voz me hago el sordo y continuo mi trato sin que me afecten las ofensas. Uno decide si ofenderse o no.
