The Bally Park is located along the Aare river and is very famous for its pile dwellings, English style park and the old Bally factory. In the park you can discover ponds and canals with pagodas and grottos. Nearby you can also find an outlet where, among other things nice shops you can still buy the very good quality Bally shoes.
The shoe manufacturer Carl Franz Bally started 1868 a trade canal, which served to drive the company's own power plant. Between this canal and the railroad line, Bally built a park where his workers could relax.
