[ENG/ESP] Hive Creative Contest | My Mantra Of Health And Happiness - Mi Mantra De Dalud Y Felicidad

This week @zord has invited us to share a phrase or mantra that helps us face the day with positivity. This is not really my style, however, there is a phrase that has helped me to remind myself of something that I always forget and that I have noticed improvement since I started saying it to me.

My happiness mantra is ¨Today I will be a better and healthier version of myself¨.

I have always been very demanding of myself, which is why I always had this feeling of being a little afraid of this idea of being better and better every day.

My expectations and demands as to what the word "better" means used to be very high and even almost unreal. Being so unachievable, at the end of the day I always ended up feeling defeated as I couldn't achieve what for me was a better version of myself, no matter how hard I tried.

However, after many years I have been able to understand the true meaning of real improvement and I have come to an agreement with myself: the best version of myself is only the one that gives everything she can, without neglecting her physical and mental health.

My body always somatizes everything, if I am stressed or if I demand too much to my mind, my body reflects it with incidents of hives, muscle aches, stomach problems, panic attacks, etc., so over the years it has become a mission for me to learn to balance effort and self-care.

With this mantra I encourage myself to give my best in the day, to make it as productive as possible and at the same time to also be better in taking care of myself and giving myself a moment just for me, rest, free my mind and be more understanding with all the different situations and my ways to react to them.

Setting much more realistic goals that can be achieved through a good organization of times and priorities, I think it has been the plan that has best adapted to me, finding a way to be as efficient as possible with little effort has taken a lot of weight off my shoulders .

I think many may think that it is something easy to maintain a balance, but it is not at all, it has been difficult for me to identify when I take my mind too far and I usually notice it when there is already a physical manifestation of my stress and anxiety.

That is why I choose this phrase to repeat every day, as a reminder that being better is not mainly based on productivity and work, but on personal care, health and peace of mind, with these three elements life becomes much easier and progress comes only as a result of a healthy process of personal evolution and not of a torturous cycle of unnecessary and unproductive long-term efforts.

It is still difficult for to carry it out, however, I try to remind myself whenever I can, every morning and night with these words so that one day it could come naturally to me. Thank you for reading!


Esta semana @zord nos ha invitado a compartir una frase o mantra que nos ayude a enfrentar el dia con positividad. Este no es realmente mi estilo, sin embargo, hay una frase que si me ha ayudado a recordarme algo que siempre olvido y que he notado mejoria desde que empece a decirmela.

My mantra de la felicidad es ¨hoy seré una mejor y más saludable versión de mi misma¨

Siempre he sido muy exigente conmigo misma, por lo cual siempre he tenido un poco de miedo a esta idea de ser mejor.

Mis expectativas y exigencias en cuanto a lo que ¨mejor¨ significa, solían ser muy altas e incluso casi hasta irreales. Al ser tan inalcanzables, al final del día siempre terminaba sintiéndome derrotada ya que no lograba alcanzar lo que para mí era una mejor versión de mi misma, no importa cuánto tratara.

Sin embargo, luego de muchos años he podido entender el verdadero significado de ser mejor y he llegado a un acuerdo conmigo misma: la mejor versión de mi misma es solo aquella que da todo lo que puede, sin descuidar su salud física y mental.

Mi cuerpo siempre somatiza todo, si estoy estresada o me exijo demasiado mi cuerpo lo refleja con cuadros de urticaria, dolores musculares, problemas estomacales, ataques de pánico, etc, así que a lo largo los años se ha convertido en una misión para mí el aprender a mantener un equilibrio entre esfuerzo y cuidado personal.

Con este mantra me animo a dar lo mejor de mí en el día, a hacerlo lo más productivo posible y a la vez a ser mejor también en cuidarme y darme un momento solo para mi, para descansar y liberar la mente.

Fijar metas mucho más realistas que puedan ser cumplidas mediante una buena organización de tiempos y prioridades, creo que ha sido el plan que mejor se ha adaptado a mí, encontrar la manera de con poco ser lo más eficiente posible me ha quitado mucho peso de encima.

Creo que muchos pueden pensar que es algo fácil mantener un balance, pero no lo es para nada, me ha costado mucho identificar cuando llevo a mi mente demasiado lejos y normalmente lo noto cuando ya se da una manifestación física de mi estrés y ansiedad.

Por eso elijo esta frase para repetir cada día, como un recordatorio de que ser mejor no está principalmente basado en productividad y trabajo, sino en cuidado personal, salud y paz mental, con estos tres elementos la vida se hace mucho más fácil y el progreso solo viene como un resultado de un saludable proceso de evolución persona y no de un torturante ciclo de esfuerzos innecesarios e improductivos a largo plazo.

Aun me cuesta un poco llevarlo a cabo, sin embargo, trato de recordármelo siempre que puedo, así algún día me salga natural. Gracias por leer!
