Hola amigos, les cuento que hace unos días fui a dar un pequeño paseo por Marigüitar y entre las cosas que me llamaron la atención está esta localidad llamada San Antonio del Golfo. Por eso, cada vez que paso por ese lugar, no dudo en tomarme fotos junto a este monumento de su patrono, San Antonio de Padua.

La capital del municipio Mejía, que se encuentra en el estado Sucre, es San Antonio del Golfo. Se distingue por su gente, su cultura costera y su ambiente natural. Es una aldea sumamente pintoresca y la gente que vive allí es muy servicial y cordial. Siempre que paso por ahí, me detengo a mirar la imagen de este santo, al cual veneran en esta localidad. El 13 de junio celebran sus fiestas patronales para honrarlo y así exaltan su vida como un gran predicador y teólogo. Se le conoce como el santo de los milagros y el patrón de lo que se pierde o roba.

Me agrada, en particular, conocer una parte de mi estado Sucre. En cada rincón hallamos fragmentos de nuestra historia y eso nos ayuda a comprender más sobre nuestro pasado, nuestras costumbres, nuestra gente; en definitiva, un montón de cosas que a veces ni siquiera sabemos y que son tan importantes para nuestra evolución.
