This new project was carried out in 3 days and with a time limit, even so we plan and meet the objective

Este nuevo proyecto se llevó a cabo en 3 días y con un límite de tiempo, aun así planificamos y cumplimos el objetivo
The project I'm talking about is about this vehicle that has some pretty serious details in the paint
In this case the car had burnt paint
El proyecto del que estoy hablando es sobre este vehículo que tiene algunos detalles bastante serios en la pintura
En este caso el auto tenía la pintura quemada
This happens because the car is constantly exposed to the sun. After several months, the paint finally burns, to solve this problem it is necessary to repaint the affected parts
And that's what our team is for
Esto sucede porque el automóvil está constantemente expuesto al sol. Después de varios meses, la pintura finalmente se quema, para resolver este problema es necesario volver a pintar las partes afectadas
Y para eso está nuestro equipo
The first thing we did was cover with paper the parts that we were not going to repair so as not to damage them
And then, with the help of a sanding machine, we begin to sand the affected parts of the part
Lo primero que hicimos fue cubrir con papel las partes que no íbamos a reparar para no dañarlas
Y luego, con la ayuda de una máquina de lijado, comenzamos a lijar las partes afectadas de la pieza
It is something that takes a little time but is necessary to correct the surface evenly
Es algo que lleva un poco de tiempo pero es necesario para corregir la superficie de manera uniforme
In this car I was in charge of the front and my partner worked in the rear
En este auto estaba a cargo de la parte delantera y mi compañero trabajaba en la parte trasera
Since there were several defects, we had to pass the sanding machine to all of them
Como había varios defectos, tuvimos que pasar la máquina de lijado a todos ellos
This is how it looks after having passed the sanding machine

Now is the time to sand the entire piece with water to correct the imperfections that have been left on the surface

Little by little we move forward to make sure everything goes well

In a few minutes it is ready. So it was time to dry all the water from the piece and then mask with paper what we don't want to stain
En unos minutos está listo. Así que era hora de secar toda el agua de la pieza y luego enmascarar con papel lo que no queremos manchar
While I was busy on the hood of the car, my partner corrected a detail that had the rear bumper
After that we mask the bumper with paper
Mientras estaba ocupado en el capó del automóvil, mi compañero corrigió un detalle que tenía el parachoques trasero
Después de eso enmascaramos el parachoques con papel
The reason is because it was time to apply a product called Primer to the parts that we had sanded
La razón es porque era hora de aplicar un producto llamado Primer a las partes que habíamos lijado
The paper helps us not to dirty the pieces that are healthy
El papel nos ayuda a no ensuciar las piezas que están sanas
Already with this process the affected parts are corrected
Ya con este proceso se corrigen las partes afectadas
The next day it was dry and it was time to start sanding with water to smooth the surface
Al día siguiente estaba seco y era hora de comenzar a lijar con agua para alisar la superficie
Since we are going to paint the entire piece, it is necessary to sand everything
Como vamos a pintar toda la pieza, es necesario lijar todo
Then we wash the car to remove all traces of grease and dust
Luego lavamos el automóvil para eliminar todo rastro de grasa y polvo
We enter the paint booth to mask with paper the parts that are not going to be painted
Entramos en la cabina de pintura para enmascarar con papel las partes que no se van a pintar
That way we protect them so they don't get stained
De esa manera las protegemos para que no se manchen
This is how it looks with the first coat of paint, we need several coats to cover the color
Así es como se ve con la primera capa de pintura, necesitamos varias capas para cubrir el color
And of course, let's not forget the back
Y, por supuesto, no olvidemos la parte de atrás
Here is my partner applying the paint, between the two of us we form a work team to save time and effort

After several coats of paint, the color is already completely covered
Después de varias capas de pintura, el color ya está completamente cubierto
We only need to apply the varnish to finish the painting process
This product is what gives the shine to the painted piece
Solo necesitamos aplicar el barniz para terminar el proceso de pintura
Este producto es lo que da brillo a la pieza pintada
Now look at how the piece looks after applying the varnish
The change is quite remarkable, it is an incredible shine

We should not forget the back of the car
No debemos olvidar la parte trasera del auto
The varnish takes 24 hours to dry
The next day it is dry. And we start with the polishing process
El barniz tarda 24 horas en secarse
Al día siguiente está seco. Y comenzamos con el proceso de pulido
For that we sand the painted pieces with a very fine sandpaper
Para eso lijamos las piezas pintadas con un papel de lija muy fino
After about an hour, this is what the completely sanded piece looks like
Después de aproximadamente una hora, así es como se ve la pieza completamente lijada
Now the piece is completely smooth, and that will be the final finish after polishing
Ahora la pieza está completamente lisa, y ese será el acabado final después del pulido
Now we start to polish very carefully
Ahora comenzamos a pulir con mucho cuidado
Moving forward little by little throughout the piece
Avanzando poco a poco por toda la pieza
In this way I make sure to do a good polishing

Results can be seen as we go

When fully polished, the piece looks amazing because it regains its shine

Now is the time to remove all the papers and wash the car so that it is impeccable
Ahora es el momento de quitar todos los papeles y lavar el auto para que esté impecable
This is the end result of our team

Project finished, we met the objective despite being in quarantine and only working half a day for 3 days
