El día que me entere que mi hermana estaba embarazada sentí una inmensa alegría al saber que vendría al mundo un nuevo integrante a la familia puesto que siempre fuimos mi hermana y yo. Esperaba con ansias poderlo cargar, jugar con él. A todo el mundo le contaba lo feliz que me sentía y aguardaba ese día con mucho entusiasmo, tanto es así que solicite un permiso especial en mi trabajo para acompañar a mi hermana en el alumbramiento de su hija, ya que el nacimiento estaba pautado para el mes de marzo y mis vacaciones comenzaban en el mes de julio.
The day I found out that my sister was pregnant, I felt an immense joy knowing that a new member of the family would come into the world since it was always my sister and I. I was looking forward to carrying it, playing with it. I would tell everyone how happy I felt and I was looking forward to that day with great enthusiasm, so much so that I requested a special permit at my work to accompany my sister in the delivery of her daughter, since the birth was scheduled for the March and my vacation began in July.
De eso ya han pasado 8 años y mi princesa es una niña súper destacada, cariñosa, sensible e inteligente muy parecida a mí en cuanto a su personalidad.

)Por otro lado, hace 3 años nos llegó por sorpresa de que mi hermana seria madre por segunda vez, de un hermoso, pícaro y encantador varoncito, el primero de la familia que lamentablemente mi mami no llego a conocer, para el nacimiento del bebe no pude estar presente, ya que me fue negado el permiso para asistir hasta la Isla de Margarita, puesto que nacería en el mes de junio y teníamos muchas cosas por entregar en la institución para esa fecha y esta vez debía solicitar el permiso por Zona Educativa, así que aplacé mi viaje para el mes siguiente y llegué justo cuando el niño cumplió su primer mes de nacido para conocerlo.
On the other hand, 3 years ago it came as a surprise to us that my sister would be a mother for the second time, of a beautiful, mischievous and charming little boy, the first of the family that unfortunately my mother did not get to know, for the birth of the baby she did not I was able to be present, since I was denied permission to attend Margarita Island, since I would be born in June and we had many things to deliver at the institution for that date and this time I had to request permission from the Educational Zone, so I postponed my trip to the following month and arrived just when the child was one month old to meet him.
Sé que no son mis hijos, pero puedo asegurar que jamás le faltara amor de madre porque para querer no se necesita más título que el de una tía.
I know they are not my children, but I can assure you that you will never lack the love of a mother because to love you do not need any more title than that of an aunt.
Es hermoso verlos crecer con el paso de los años, y estar orgullosa ante cada logro que van obteniendo y cada nueva meta que van alcanzando. Ver a sus padres sonreír al verlos, es algo que también me llena de alegría y orgullo, porque aunque no es lo mismo ser tía que ser madre, puedo entender cómo se sienten. Hemos establecido una sintonía especial por muchos motivos, entre otros porque el amor no se somete a la presión o la responsabilidad de unas pautas de crianza que a veces ahogan el placer de educar a un niño y porque a pesar de no convivir diariamente aprovechamos al máximo el tiempo que pasamos juntos durante las vacaciones que ellos puedan venir o yo pueda ir a visitarlos.
It is beautiful to see them grow over the years, and to be proud of each achievement they achieve and each new goal they reach. Seeing their parents smile when they see them is something that also fills me with joy and pride, because although being an aunt is not the same as being a mother, I can understand how they feel. We have established a special tune for many reasons, among others because love is not subjected to the pressure or responsibility of parenting guidelines that sometimes stifle the pleasure of educating a child and because despite not living together daily we make the most of the time we spend together during the holidays that they can come or I can go visit them.
Y es que aunque aún no tengo la dicha de ser madre, puedo afirmar que mis sobrinos son los mejores regalos que me ha dado mi hermana.
And it is that although I still do not have the happiness of being a mother, I can affirm that my nephews are the best gifts that my sister has given me.
