Andy’s Salad 🥗

I’ve been sharing my recipes lately and because I learn how to bake and cook basically from my sister, she is a baker now so you could imagine what i do best is cakes, bread, and delicious meals that often could be a little too high in calories. However, i like to believe i am a healthy person, and so i think like that and i am convinced that we definitely are what we eat and we need to balance nutrition with flavor, in order to be balanced. With this i mean that one day yes we can eat a perfect chocolate cake, but then the next day we can decide to have a very healthy fat-free salad that also would help you cleansing your body and as a detox to balance the equation.

That’s why i decided to share a beautiful salad made by me with ingredients that i love, and i hope you can replicated because the flavor worths it and is very easy to make and nutritious.

Salads for me need to be tasty as well, because i don't like to just throw a bunch of raw vegetables on a bowl and eat them like that. A lot of people would coincide with me in the fact that the salad we make needs to be something juicy, creamy, sweet, salty, well.spiced, spicy? who knows? is your taste! And that is why salads are fun to make, because you can get creative with the recipe and find out which vegetables are the best for your body and own personal taste.

Let's begin! remember to clean perfectly all your fruits and vegetables with lots of water, and if possible, with drops of vinegar, that way we make sure the food is clean and appropriate to consume.

I took a tomato. Full of antioxidants. But you can replace it maybe with a fruit, like a peach, or apple.

Cucumber, which you could replace with the salty version, the picke, but really no need of more sodium. Chop them in circles alongside with the avocado, creamy fruit that is delicious and it gives the whole salad the fat sensation, which we appreciate a lot on our paladars.

Carrot. Gives us nutrients and pigments that are good for the skin, the yes, the hair.

Spinach. One of my favorite leaves like you could tell for all of my posts. Is a superfood and i could make a whole article about what the benefits i could find in the internet about this vegetable. Even scientifically proved.

Palmetto. Usually comes in cans. they are tasty, sour, and they also bring the “meat” sensation to this salad. they are beneficial for health as well.

Sweet corn. Favorite of most, this grain is necessary and of one oldest friends. Corn is also very sweet which would help the salad to be tastier.

Let's make the dressing now, shall we?

I would make a simple Balsamic sweet vinegar, adding:

1 garlic clove, smash it on a glass or plastic little bowl, to obtain it juices and taste. Now we are going to add everything on top of it.

1 tablespoon of olive oil.

1 tablespoon of honey.

1 tablespoon of vinegar.

1 tablespoon of balsamic oil.

½ teaspoon of black pepper

½ teaspoon of salt.

Mix well, and you have a beautiful dressing that is both full of flavor and aroma, besides being healthy. To add it to the salad, you could strain the liquid and throw the garlic pieces, which have a powerful taste, but if you're a garlic lover like me, you would have no problem to eat it all.

Some possible recommendations for this salad would be:

To add seeds. Toasted pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, are always a great option.
Prepare another dressing, based of fruit juices, like lemon, or orange, for example.

And voila, our beautiful salad is ready.
