Happy Sepia Saturday!
Wow, just wow! I always knew that time accelerated in the period between Thanksgiving and Christmas. This year is no different, yet to me it seems to be even more so! I am amazed just how much faster the time does indeed seem to fly year after year!
This Japanese Maple leaf at night was highlighted by a street light as the snow flakes flew in the background resolving in little bokeh balls. Notice the hint of a frozen drop of water on the left of the leaf!
Yes it is hard to believe that in just a week's time, we will be at Christmas eve! So the lesson to glean from all of this is if you have any sepias of the season to share, there is no time like the present!
This little guy is of course made from marshmallows for his body with pretzel arms and a candy hat. Back in the old days when Hive/Steemit seemed to hold so much more promise, I used to bother to change my profile pic for the holidays. Do you remember the old days on the site? Was it just me or did it seem like more fun? Back then it seemed that not many made huge scores but we all made a fair amount. Now it seems that there is a general divide between few that make a lot and a lot that make few. Perhaps it is I that have lost my way? Or perhaps Hive has lost its way? Regardless it is what it is, and such is life. Still I wonder how much of that bears on the current price we find Hive at?
