The Human Whisk has Graduated. Last year in December, we had the joy of experiencing great emotions with the graduation of my daughter Nancy. Now, we are very happy because we are celebrating the graduation of my son-in-law Rommel, the popular human whisk. We call him that because when we bake cakes at home, we don't use a mixer since he is the one who whips the cream by hand, hehehe; from that moment on, I gave him the nickname "the human mixer." These moments are truly so exciting, and we literally get goosebumps from feeling so much joy for every second lived in that moment.

I have a story about Ronmel: even before he was born, he was already playing pranks inside his mother's belly, and he was destined for great things. It turns out that 24 years ago, we spent Christmas in our town of Merito on the Araya Peninsula in Venezuela. After ringing in the New Year, in the early hours of January 1, his mother went into labor with severe contractions, and Ronmel's father knocked on our door to take her to the hospital. We did so, and we spent the night there. Thank God everything went well, and now, 24 years later, we are celebrating his graduation as a naval engineer. He is a source of great pride for the whole family, and now we have two naval engineers at home, awaiting the imminent graduation of my son Miguel Alejandro, who is currently in his fourth semester of mechanical engineering. The excitement never stops, and now it's time to celebrate.

Se Graduó El Batidor Humano. El año pasado en este mismo mes de diciembre, tuvimos la dicha de vivir grandes emociones con la graduación de mi hija Nancy. Ahora; estamos muy contentos, porque estamos celebrando la graduación de mi Yerno Rommel el popular batidor humano. Le decimos de esa manera; porque cuando en casa preparamos tortas, no usamos batidora ya que él es quien se encarga de batir la crema a mano jejeje; desde ese momento le puse ese apodo del batidor humano. De verdad que estos momentos son demasiado emocionantes, y literalmente se nos eriza la piel de sentir tanta alegría por cada segundo vivido en ese momento.

De Ronmel tengo una anécdota; y es que antes de que el naciera, ya estaba echando broma dentro de la barriga de su mamá y estaba destinado para grandes cosas. Resulta; que hace 24 años, pasamos navidad en nuestro pueblo Merito Península de Araya Venezuela. Luego de recibir el año nuevo; en la madrugada del primero de enero, a su mamá se le pegaron fuertes dolores de parto y el papá de Ronmel fue a tocarnos la puerta para llevarla al hospital, así lo hicimos y allí amanecimos; gracias a Dios todo salió bien y ahora, 24 años después estamos celebrando su graduación como Ingeniero Naval. Es un verdadero orgullo para toda la familia y ahora tenemos en casa dos Ingenieros Navales, en la espera de la pronta graduación de mi hijo Miguel Alejandro, quien en estos momentos está en el cuarto semestre de Ingeniería Mecánica; las emociones no se detienen y ahora a celebrar se ha dicho.

Early in the morning, we got ready and went to the Syrian Arab Club here in Cumaná, Sucre State, Venezuela. This place is very beautiful, quite spacious, and was decorated in a very special way. The family took their reserved seats, because little by little everything was being organized for the event to begin soon. The event had not yet begun, but emotions were running high. The whole family was extremely happy, as they saw the results of years of perseverance, commitment, and dedication, first with Nancy and now with Ronmel. As part of that process, we were filled with pride because our children, despite the difficulties, always succeed. We also took the opportunity to take a picture of him signing his graduation book. We snuck in because you had to ask for permission, ha ha ha.

Desde bien temprano nos alistamos y nos fuimos al Club Árabe Sirio, aquí en Cumaná estado Sucre Venezuela. Este sitio es muy bonito, es bastante espacioso y estaba decorado de una manera muy especial. La familia se ubicó en los asientos reservados, porque poco a poco todo se iba organizando para dar pronto inicio. El evento no había comenzado y se sentían emociones a granel; toda la familia estaba sumamente contenta, ya que se han visto los resultados de años de constancia, entrega y dedicación; primero con Nancy, y ahora con Ronmel. Nosotros como parte de ese proceso, nos llenamos de orgullo porque nuestros hijos, a pesar de las dificultades, siempre salen adelante; también aprovechamos de tomarle una fotografía firmando su libro de grado; allí nos colamos, porque había que solicitar permiso jejeje.

We were informed that before the graduation ceremony began, we had to take the photographs corresponding to the package we had requested. We all went upstairs, where we waited our turn to have our photos taken. First, photos were taken with just the graduate, as well as a 360 video, but the human photographer was too nervous, ha ha ha. Now it was the family's turn to take photos. We did it separately and alone with the graduate. With each passing minute, our nerves and emotions grew exponentially. It's no wonder, as these moments don't happen every day.

Nos informaron, que antes de que comenzara el acto de grado; había que tomar las fotografías correspondientes al paquete que se había solicitado. Todos nos fuimos a la planta alta, donde esperamos nuestro turno para proceder a la toma de dichas fotografías. En primer lugar, se tomaron fotos solo con el graduando; además de un video 360, el batidor humano estaba demasiado nervioso jejejeje. Ahora; nos tocó a la familia la toma de fotografías, lo hicimos por separado y solos con el graduando. Cada minuto que pasaba, los nervios y las emociones crecían de manera exponencial; no es para menos, estos momentos no se viven todos los días.

Finally, the graduation ceremony began with the entrance of the graduates and university dignitaries. Each of them took their place, waiting to be called to receive their degree, according to the courses each student had taken. Ronmel's moment arrived and everyone stood up, applauding and shouting, emotions running high. The human mixer received his degree and returned to his seat; his entire family was waiting for the ceremony to end so they could hug and congratulate him. They had to wait a while, because there were more than 100 students.

Little by little, the minutes passed, and to conclude, they sang the university anthem and the graduate's anthem, leading up to an extremely emotional moment, which consisted of throwing their caps into the air as a symbol of joy, achievement of goals, and the end of a stage that does not end there, because new goals to achieve are beginning. This moment truly makes us proud and excited; I say this because I obtained two university degrees and this part is very special. It was time to return home to celebrate and continue to fill ourselves with excitement and pride; greetings to all and see you soon.

Finalmente, se dió inicio al acto de grado con la entrada de los graduandos y las personalidades universitarias. Cada uno de ellos se ubicó en su sitio, a la espera de ser llamados para la entrega de su título, de acuerdo a las carreras cursadas por cada estudiante. Llegó el momento de Ronmel y todos de pie, aplaudiendo y gritando, emociones tras emociones. El batidor humano recibió su título y nuevamente se dirigió a su asiento; la familia entera estaba esperando la culminación del acto para abrazarlo y felicitarlo. Había que esperar un poco, porque eran más de 100 estudiantes.

Poco a poco iban avanzando los minutos y para culminar, cantaron el himno de la universidad y del graduando, con el fin de llegar a un momento sumamente emocionante, el cual consistió en lanzar los birretes hacia arriba como símbolo de alegría, logro de metas y el fin de una etapa que no termina allí, porque se inician nuevas metas a cumplir. Este momento de verdad nos enorgullece y emociona; lo digo, porque mi persona obtuvo dos títulos universitarios y esta parte es muy especial. Ya quedaba regresar a casa para celebrar y continuar llenándonos de emoción y orgullo; saludos a todos y nos vemos pronto.
