It's that time of year!
Around here, it's been getting colder for a moment now. Until today, we had not fired up our wood stove for the season yet. Thankfully, I had already hopped up on the roof with a couple of the Little-Peppers to be "Chimney Sweeps" for a while, so it was ready for fire. With the cold weather upon us, we were ready for fire too! It looks like we're in for a cold spell, so I foresee this wood stove going for the near future. Do you heat with wood? Would you like to? Here's a few photos. Enjoy!

I've had the masonry heater going at night a few times since October 1 and lit the stove in the office twice I think. I am in Western Mass. We've heated exclusively with wood and passive solar since 1983.
Looks cozy!
