There are different kind of people but the people of pure knowledge and virtuous alwsys aim betterment of the society. Their vibes are completelly different and alwsys influences life of others. Our Sanskrit scholars have given the following beautiful lines to showcase how importsnt the roles of virtuous person in the society.
गुणाः कुर्वन्ति दूतत्वं दूरेऽपि वसतां सताम्|
केतकीगन्धमाघ्राय स्वयं गच्छन्ति षट्पदाः||
Gunaah kurvanti dootatvam doorepi vasataam sataam.
Ketakee-gancdhamaaghraaya svyam gacchanti shatpadaah.

Gunaah = virtues.
Kurvanti = do.
Dootatvam = acting as a messanger, advertise.
Doorepi = doore + api.
Doore = far away.
Api = even.
Vasataam = live.
Sataam = noble and virtuous persons. Ketakee = name of a very fragrant flower.
Gandha = fragrance,
Aaghraaya = smelling.
Svyam = themself.
Gacchanti = go.
Shatpadaah = bees.
"Noble and virtuous persons always remain aloof from the common people, but their virtues act as their messengers and people are attracted towards them just like bees being attracted towards the Ketakee flowers by their fragrance."
It is not important that person remain associated with the society and involved with other person. We have seen many instances where a scholars or virtuous person remain away from crowd and does not mingle with other people. Still there presence are are too impressive that it attracts other people to be associated with them.
