This one came as a shocker. I used to be an instructor and one of my students quit not too long after he graduated from my class. I don't know if he took action after eaves dropping from me or if he had done it on his own, but this is how it went down...

I found out a couple years later that one of my former students called in one day. He told his boss, "I don't think I want to work any more." His boss said, "If you're not feeling well, that's ok. Take a day off and let me know how you feel tomorrow." Totally reasonable, right? The worker said, "No, I mean, I don't think I want to work for the company any more..."
The boss, again was reasonable..."You know what, we all go through some hard times and life can get overwhelming sometimes. Why don't you take a few days off, you've got some vacation. Take a few days to just relax and get centered again." You gotta love this boss! He did great!
The worker said, "That's fine, I'll take the vacation, but I don't think I'm going to come back to work. I'm done."
Now, the way he quit may not be so epic, but the reason he quit kinda is...
Later that same morning, the boss met with some of the other workers. They said, "Hey, did you hear about so-and-so?!" The boss said, "What are you talking about?" The other worker said...
"So-and-so quit because he became a dogecoin millionaire!!!"
What?!
"Yeah, he became a dogecoin millionaire. He bought millions of the cryptocurrency dogecoin back when it was fractions of a penny and he checked his account just yesterday and saw he's worth over $2M!"

Holy Cow! Apparently, this former student of mine had bought a few thousand dollars' worth of dogecoin and just held onto it. Looking back, I had purchased around 100,000 coins at my highest and had mined some of it...but I sold all mine when it hit around $0.06-0.07 earlier this year, thinking that was a huge gain...I sold about 2 weeks too early. Selling at $0.69-$0.72 at the SNL skit would have netted me a cool $60K ish...instead, I got to sell it and buy some Hive at $0.40 😋
Fun way to quit!..."I don't think I want to work anymore" hahaha

A great story and evidence of how cryptocurrency is changing lives while providing freedom. Good for your student. I just hope enough was taken off the table to allow for the continued lifestyle of freedom.
In many bull markets we see millionaires created "on paper" only to give it back. Hopefully a couple years of living expenses at least were set aside.

I haven't heard from him since, but I thought the same thing. When the real estate market was hot years ago, mortgage brokers made a killing and spent it like the faucet would never get turned off. When it dried up, they had hard lives for a while. If I hit $1M USD in any of my holdings all of a sudden, I'd sell enough of it to pay off my house and the taxes on the gain. Then I'd watch to see what the rest would do... but I'd definitely lock in my earnings... if I hit $5M, I'd sell it all, pay my taxes, put about 3M into 3 separate investment vehicles, sell my house, and move...
I'm enjoying my gains with Hive and all the 2nd layer tokens at the moment. We'll see where it takes me.
I remember this story. It still blows my mind. I would love to be able to do something like that and travel with the kiddos and family. We would have to set up a home base somewhere.

The current spread is 0.00101 on the buy side and 0.00115 on the sell side. I've been buying at 0.001 and under and selling it for 0.00130. The spread just recently tightened, but it was nice selling 100K worth at 0.00130 to turn around and buy at 0.00096 over and again. That's how I went from 200K to 500K of LVL in such a short period of time.
I just saw the trailer. This game is going to be legendary for Hive once all the kinks get worked out.
Exactly my thoughts, thus the investment. I'm over 500k lvl and working my way up to 1M where I plan to pause. I'm already in the top 50 on the rich list...

I am hopeful that one day this will be my reason to resign at work!
Currently it is not yet the case but I am optimistic on that, I still love my job and enjoy it but if there's a chance on not to work anymore why not right?
