I'm hosting a Contest!

in Proof of Brain3 years ago (edited)

I have received a lot of blessings (in the form of rewards) in the past few weeks and that has helped me grow at a very fast pace. Each reward meant encouragement and I believe it is necessary to survive here.

There was a time I used to post and didn't receive any rewards, I know how disappointing it was and how difficult it was to keep myself motivated to post every day when I wasn't getting anything in return.

The platform grows as we grow. As I have received so much support, it's my time now to extend my support to others and help them do better. So I am going to host bi-weekly (every two weeks) contests from now on just to motivate people by rewarding them as much as I can.

If I get a good response, I will increase the frequency to weekly very soon.

Contest question

What's your favorite hobby and how do you manage your way to it?

How you answer

Just drop a comment with your answer below and append a hashtag #motivation towards the end of your comment.
Please note entries without the # will not be considered for rewards.

Contest validity

You have 7 days to answer the question, winners will be announced on the eighth day.

Contest rewards

I plan to give away rewards as below:

1st Prize - 10 POB
2nd Prize - 7 POB
3rd Prize - 5 POB

This is my way of showing my gratitude to those who showed faith in me by supporting me. As I grow, I will surely increase the rewards for the contest.

How I plan to judge

My judgement on the comments would be on the basis of:

  1. Creativity
  2. Uniqueness
  3. Excitement

Your comment must exemplify the above three parameters.

Looking for sponsors

If anyone would like to sponsor this contest through liquid POB or upvotes, please comment below to show your support. I will be really grateful and at the same time, it would encourage me to host more of such contests in the future.

Sort:

Yeah, Get Going dear. This is Great. Just a suggestion, since rewards are in POB, make sure add only POB front end entries. We need growth of POB😊👍

Thanks for supporting. It actually took me a lot of courage to write this post. I am too naive to hold a contest here where there are whales giving away huge rewards and mine are nothing compared to those. But still I wanted to do it because I understand how important these small values are when we are new to the platform and what wonders winning such contests do.

Never underestimate yourself, you are a whale on hive. And I am sure you will make it big in POB too. Just do what you love. !PIZZA

What a nice way to get to know each other.

My favorite hobby is sewing, although I don't practice it as much as I would like. I am self-taught: I have had no studies in this area and what I have done and do is by impulse, creativity and analysis.
It is a hobby that relaxes me a lot and makes me forget my troubles or problems. Once I sit down to sew I forget everything...I relax and release stress.
I have a home sewing machine for 15 years and I take care of it like a treasure and I constantly visit fabric and haberdashery stores...even if I don't buy anything...hahaha... It's just to feel the pleasure of imagining that I am creating with that fabric...the sensation is unparalleled.

Sewing is great! You can stitch your own clothes, how amazing is that! I can totally imagine how much fun you would derive out of doing it, it's an art and not everyone can do it. Great going.

My mom runs a boutique. She doesn't stitch herself but has hired a few people to do it for her. She stitches wonderful Indian and Western dresses. Almost all my clothes are designed by her. I feel so lucky about it.

Posted via proofofbrain.io

How good. And you haven't learned a little bit? I have done some things for myself, for my house and for my niece. It is also that I lack time. But when I sit down to sew ... it is to sew! .. hahaha
This is my friend.

Posted via proofofbrain.io

I could not learn because she started with this venture after my I got married. So I didn't get any chance to sit and learn. But I do like to design my clothes. I can't stitch but I am good at telling the tailor what design I want. And it is really cheap to get your clothes done on your own. I get the same dresses at half the price almost.

Hobbies kills worries but worries tend to just make you without hobbies. Every has a hobby. This is the love for a particular thing you like to carry out and spending your time on. Remember, it must be productive. I love to sing. As an instrumentalist, the right song and play always takes you above the present shallow moments. Music is life, fun, comedy and tradegy. I see it as an avenue to pass messages and also communicate with like minds dependind on the message we are passing. Music is another world entirely. Just picture the universe you desire and sink in with pleasure.

Music is great, it's actually a stress reliever. I don't sing but I like to listen to music a lot. I am a bad singer I guess.

So what instrument do you play?

My hobby is writing satire - both stories and everyday observance posts here on my blog.
Blogging allows me to flex my creative muscles, lately I've started creating comics and other visuals to make it more entertaining. I started back in 2017, but a year later, due to time constraints, I left it
How do I find the time? Sacrificing some sleep

Earlier in the year, I was going through a difficult time, my friends suggested going back to something that made me happy and I came back.
One of my greatest joys is having people read my blog and respond to the comments on it.

Posted via proofofbrain.io

Blogging is creativity. You need a fresh and peaceful mind to blog. I am not able to do that easily because I don't really have a very creative mind there but it's a commendable job if you are able to do it. Would love to read your satires some day. Let me know where can I find them.

My hobby is writing Horror short stories or horror stories in general. I have this knack of finding the sins out of the events. And so making the stories out of the events is something I can do pretty effectively. I have been writing short stories on instagram for some time now but not a popular account so keeping the account private in order to keep the ideas to myself. I find it pretty hard to write since the pandemic because there is less amount of time in hands for work, family and also hobby gets the last preference in life. Writing is pretty good hobby I'd say as it can get both good and bad thoughts out of your head and make you calm. #motivation

Horror stories, WOW! Please share your Instagram account so that I can read them, would love to!

Today a new token will be airdropped for free to those who hold Splinterland assets. Absolutely everyone that is envloved with Splinterlands is at full capicity of excitment and curiousity as to what the price of these tokens will end up being and how they will shift the landscape of the game. #motivation

@sugandhaseth, you've been given LUV from @rentmoney.

Check the LUV in your H-E wallet. (2/3)

It wrecked the damn servers :-P still trying to claim those sweet sps, gonna be a good year

Posted via proofofbrain.io

Seems to be up and running smoothly now. I wonder at what price SPS will settle at. Surely it must dip a little with all the airdropped tokens hitting the market but one never knows.

Yeah I'm thinking the same, seen the rise in spt value? Regardless I think I will stake and earn some more anyway.

Posted via proofofbrain.io

I certainly have, staking and earning is still my plan.

I want to hit 1 million.

that's a solid goal! Only got 10k myself and delegated those to monster-curator for daily divs. And of course earn some more with each season report etc

Posted via proofofbrain.io

I do know about your interest for Splinterlands and how well you are doing there. Claps!

Hey @sugandhaseth, here is a little bit of BEER from @rentmoney for you. Enjoy it!

Learn how to earn FREE BEER each day by staking your BEER.

Right now I actually think I can call it a passion instead of just a hobby: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It's comparable to judo or wrestling except there's more emphasis on the ground part with submissions like choke holds and arm bars, leg attacks (sounds worse than it is, the training is very safe and with respect).

Been training for years and while most things tend to lose my interest after a certain time, some take longer than others, this never did till now and I don't think it will soon if ever. Lock down was pretty tough for anyone who couldn't train and it was definitely the longest I've been away from those mats, of course not being able to practice what you love doing but also the social aspect is very important for many. Even now, although I'm really grateful to be back and able to train again it's still kind of hard to get back into the grind and train consistently. Where I used to train 4-5 times a week it's now more like 2-3 if that. But the most important part is showing up and building the stamina and mental strength again as they both took a hit during the long layoff.

In the end I know I'm not gonna quit and with time will be back on the same track as before, when motivation fails gotta use that discipline and keep at it :-)

Great contest!

It's good that you are able to keep up at 2-3 days a week. That ways you don't loose touch and can get back to the game the moment you feel right.

Holla guys, I'm diamondcare and I love dancing 😍😍😍,dancing had been my hobby right from my day one, mum said when I was little I use to dance to any sound I hear.
So automatically I grew up as a dancer, that even without being thought by dance tutor I can create my steps and tutor others. Though at some point dad tried to stop me from doing it, but since it was a passion and that is what gave me happiness, he saw reasons with me,and I continued. Today I still dance...💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 and make money through it, so I specialize on "cultural dance"it's traditional kind off. that is what I grew up to love.
#motivation

Dancing is super fun! I used to learn Zumba before Covid and it used to be the best 1 hour of my day. I literally used to wait for that hour and I had so much fun.

How are you making money? Do you teach or perform?

Posted via proofofbrain.io

Wow,i teach and perform at the same time....I teach young children.

This is amazing. I wish I could learn some from you. I love to dance but somehow I feel I don't look good while dancing, I get so cautious. So I dance less. But sometimes I just like to switch on my television, play some nice dance numbers on you tube, close the door of my room and dance like crazy. I do this quite often and I love it. Dancing is very enjoyful and at the same time you end up working out so it is love.

I hope you are able to take your dancing career ahead and get great success in it. You should do some you tube videos as well. Have you tried that?

Posted via proofofbrain.io

When I started dancing I always felt that I can't do it, until people start engaging in functions, inviting to dance for them....that was when I realize that it's part of me. For the YouTube, thanks for bringing it on, I'll think about it.
