Well Hello There Fellow Hivers!
Hive.
What can I say?
It's been quite the journey for me since I came back to the platform somewhere around the start of August.
Needless to say I wasn't the best content sharer around on Hive, nor am I now.
Not by a long shot
What I can say is that I've come along way and writing or sharing stuff has become a lot easier for me. I say this because I'm somewhat of a introvert so I refrained from sharing random thoughts I had while writing posts just for the simple fact that I thought people might find this or that a bit cringe. But really who cares? Nobody really knows me or anything about me other than the stuff I choose to share on the platform.
When I came back/re-discovered the platform I decided that I want to share some stuff at-least once a week, just to be active and be seen! I can say with confidence that is going a lot better than I initially thought it would! At first I was unsure about what I would share, usually just sharing some photography.
However that changed over the period of the last two months. I since then started sharing the stuff I do at work, mechanical sided stuff and I know a lot of people don't really have an interest in that specific topic I still like to share it though. Besides there's a whole community just for that #Hive-Motors
I also came down the #Hive-Gaming community and although I don't really know how to properly bring fourth my gaming related content just yet. I think of random stories, I write them as if I am the one experiencing everything in the game. Well I am but as if I was really there!
However this is not the point of my post, I merely shared some unrelated thoughts! I had to prove that I in-fact have a brain. Since I'm posting in the proof-of-brain community.😂
Lets get down to it.
So yesterday was Hive Power Up Day a great initiative by @hivebuzz to sort of gamify the Hive eco system. If that's the right wording for it.
Regarding the HPUD I managed to do a power up of around 47+ Hive. I was really hoping to do a 50 hive power up, however I came pretty close to that "goal".
I made a post at the end of August where I revised my witness list and in that post I mentioned my HP I had at the time and that was around 230 HP.
Check it out here. BTW it needs an update! Revising my Witness List: Scrapping and Re-voting
Today as of writing this post I have a whopping 928 HP and 61 Liquid Hive in my wallet. I will be keeping the liquid Hive to do a small power up everyday because I am quite keen on getting the HPUM badge. I have to get at least one of them! Yes I know the title is a bit misleading I don't quite have a 1000 HP yet, but it's just around the corner!
I am somewhat proud of this if I have to be honest, my account grew a lot faster than I thought it would and with that I feel that I've also grown a lot!
I have a few delegations active at the moment. Some pointing to community's some to users and others to ccurators.
However I kinda messed my delegations up and had a few that I rented out on Dlease. These I canceled today I tested them out for a week and I found that it's not really what I like so I am returning those delegations to the curators again.

Account Growth
My account growth for the last month plus a few days. I did stagnate over in the middle of October for a while but over the last two weeks I have been quite active and in that time I was able to gain a lot of Hive power. One of my best post's came out of the last two weeks of October.
The main reason would probably be me having lower stress levels because the study season was over for me. Well for a while! You can check that particular post out if you'd like Exploring Mossel Bay Point Near Cape St. Blaze
Curation Rewards
Well honestly I have no idea what even is going on here, I am assuming the dip in the middle right around the time of my exams where my Hive also stagnated is because I was less active on Hive.
As of the last two weeks I have been using HiveVote to follow curation trails. However I doubt I did a lot of trailing because I kinda buggered up my delegations, but I am in the process of fixing these!
And even though I am following a curation trail I do fancy giving the good old manual votes and when I do it's usually a full up-vote. Well unless I am going through my two favorite community's which are #hivemotors and #hivegaming then I tend to downscale the votes a bit in order to spread them around a bit more!
So hopefully after a week my curation rewards would return to normal and balance out and in time I think it should actually climb!
I set a goal for myself and that goal was to gain back the 3000 HP I once had. I can now boast and say that in a very short time span I have already acquired almost one third of that amount, around 990 HP if I do quick calculations. I did so in a mere two months, so working from an average id say I'll be able to achieve that goal in around 4-6 months depending on how much I share!

This has been the only way I've found to keep up with everybody I follow.
