Greetings coffee lovers, every time I have a coffee in any place here in my city, it is a new experience and a moment that I will never forget, since it allows me to taste and see the quality of that coffee, so I can write that place down for the next time I crave a good freshly brewed coffee. This happened to me with the Monagas pastry shop and every time I go there, I get a great surprise and the best thing is that the prices are very affordable and it is worth being there in that great environment.
This morning, I went to Pastelería Monagas, since they also sell bread there, and they asked me to buy some bread for the house for breakfast and other breads for dinner later, something that we always use to have bread at home, no doubt as I was alone I felt like having a coffee with chocolate accompanied by a small sweet, as a gift of all the work I do here in hive of each of the rewards and why not give me that little gift today.
As I went in the morning hours a little early the place was very empty, I only noticed the presence of some gentlemen at a table having a coffee and others who were also buying bread, so it was a quiet environment, that smell and especially see the variety of products on the shelves, since the day was just beginning. At the moment of ordering the bread I noticed the price of the coffee and it had a cost of 3 $ that big glass of coffee with chocolate, which seemed very good, and I had a few weeks that I had not taken one, since the last time I went I ordered a normal coffee, so it was the right time and accordingly. Also, a good coffee to start the day with lots of energy.
I ordered the breads I was going to buy and the coffee with chocolate, which I had to wait a few minutes while they prepared and served it, once everything was ready I went to one of the tables to enjoy my coffee with chocolate and that great amount of foam that had that drink, plus a small decoration on top, but it did not last long, since I had to move everything, since the chocolate was at the bottom of the glass and it was one of the things that was recommended to me. Being a cold coffee, you could drink it calmly, every sip of coffee was worth it and the most impressive thing was the size of the glass, which lasted quite a while while I was checking my phone.
The most striking thing about this coffee with chocolate is the way it was prepared, since you could notice several layers in the glass and from a distance it looks very nice. Besides, I really liked the flavor and the touch of chocolate in the coffee, which created a great combination, as well as the sweetness was just right.
Once I finished the coffee with chocolate, I bought a small candy, which was a kind of a churro by the shape it had, but the impressive thing is that it had strawberries on top with pastry cream, being the decoration of this candy. I hadn't eaten strawberries for some time and eating them in this candy was the best, since the combination of the other contours gives it a great flavor. The best thing I did was to eat it separately, since if I combined the coffee with this candy, I don't know how I was going to make that combination, so for the next one I will have to find out. At the end of my little taste in the cafeteria, I paid for the breads, coffee and candy and came home to have a big piece of bread with some cheese for breakfast, being a very good day and one more experience having a good coffee here in my city. So friends, if you have the opportunity to visit the Monagas bakery, I recommend it and I am sure you will leave very happy and content.
