All Work and No Play Makes the OldGuy a Dull Boy

I hate to say it especially with everyone having hurricane-like weather, but we have been having back-to-back blue sky sunny days. That is extremely rare here in Michigan.

Welcome to my Beautifully Sublime Sunday

Well it was a quiet Sunday here at the lake.

I didn't go anywhere special or do anything exciting but it was still a sublimely beautiful Sunday. We had sun and shine and warm weather so how could it not be sublimely beautiful!

Look at that blue sky. Unheard of this time of year!

Ben and I spent the day trimming tree branches and shrubs. amazingly you can now actually see some sky and not all just tree canopy. If you look close, you can see where we cut the limbs. They are way up in the air, so where you can to use our new pole chain saw.

After trimming so much, now I can see my neighbor's flag pole through the branches they we have cut around!!!

Ben using the long lopper pole as a walking stick to help on the steep hill!

The hill is so steep, it is not uncommon to end up using all fours or on your butt!

It was nice to see a sailboat taking advantage of the breeze. Upon close inspection, one can see the trees on the far side of the lake are starting to slowly change colors.

Here is our newest brush-pile. I had just finished taking down the other, larger brush pile to the seawall.

With the current lack of limbs, a close-by swan was able to be photographed.

Soon he/she was joined by the whole Swan family!

The Beautiful Sunday and Sublime Sunday tags are some of my faves! I want to thank @ace108 for running the beautiful Sunday tag every week and keeping such detailed stats and supporting the accounts. Also, a shout out to @c0ff33a for the sublime Sunday tag where your random Sunday posts are always welcome!

Of course doing all that labor results in working up a huge appetite!

When in a pinch and really hungry, this Stove Top Stuffing works pretty well. It certainly goes well with chicken.

A little lunch that I would say is not too shabby!

Sad to see the hydrangeas doing their final hooray…

Yikes look at all the dust on that case!

I would like to say a special thank you to Buckethead for inspiring me to get my old guitar out. It has been too long! Like 15 years too long. I have lost so much, it is like starting from scratch... 😢 my fingers are totally wrecked, but I am enjoying it. Learning this piece "Soothsayer (Dedicated To Aunt Suzie)".

Skip to 12:00 to see the audience play his guitar!

I like this shot because it captures the moon and a sailboat and the perfect ending to a sublimely beautiful day.

Global warming is giving it to Michigan! How ironic that you have better weather there than at Smith Mountain Lake. That would absolutely convince me of Charlie Brown Syndrome!

Looks like a beautiful day! Glad you and Ben got out to enjoy the sunshine!

I think the hurricane helped us out! Three back to back sunny days are so rare here!

I saw the news and the hurricane really cause some bad damages in Florida.
It really looks you guys took all the good weather this week.

Enjoyment 😋😋😋 Amazing photos from you Sir
Keep up the good work 👍😊
