A Happy Beautiful and Sublime Sunday to you!
This is the sunsetting on a much milder day as we almost got up to freezing (32 F or 0C) today.
Apparently we had an unexpected visitor today as seen from their tracks left behind.
Speaking of tracks, can you make out the millions of tracks on the snow covering the ice. We had a major tournament and the lake has been just jam packed of people, four wheelers, snowmobiles and side by sides! Top prize is twenty grand so the boys take it real serious!
Well I have no interest in sitting on the ice to catch some fish. Fishing is ok, but I require it to be on a boat on a pleasantly warm day! However, I did get a lot of crap moved out of the garage and into Betsy for running to the scrap yard early tomorrow.
See before I can pull my trailer, Betsy has a 500 mile break in period according to Cummins. Getting her home was only 300 miles or so. I need to put some miles on here this week so I can get a trailer load down to Virginia. My time is quickly going as I want to have the house up for sale in the Spring. That means I have loads and loads to make as well as painting that needs to be done - and done fast!
Here I am using the cool storage feature on the new Rams...
Notice how the seat cushion of the rear seats fold up and this level faux floor comes out. Perfect for setting stuff that you dont want to place on the rear seat cushions! Yes Betsy cost us plenty so she needs to be earning her keep now!
As for the storm we had, they still have not done much to the local roads!
The Beautiful Sunday and Sublime Sunday tags are some of my faves! I want to thank @ace108 for running the beautiful Sunday tag every week and keeping such detailed stats and supporting the accounts. Also, a shout out to @c0ff33a for the sublime Sunday tag where your random Sunday posts are always welcome!
Let's Warm Up!
I thought I would share what I did to warm up. Yep made some drenched in butter biscuits! Come on give it a try. It is super easy and trust me you will want to after they are made!
Let's combine all of the dry ingredients into this bowl. Start with 2 and 1/2 cups of flour.
Now TWO tablespoons of sugar
One tablespoon of baking powder.
One teaspoon of salt...
Now melt one stick of butter in a square 8x8 baking dish.
Also a good time to preheat oven to 450F.
Now add our only wet ingredient 1 and 3/4 cup of butter milk. Do not use fat free butter milk or your biscuits wont rise.
Ok now the fun part. Stir it up and dump them in!
Roughly level it...
I like to precut it before baking to let the butter ooze up in the cracks! I find 3x3 works best.
Bake 18-20 minutes at 450F.
Enjoy these super easy bits of heaven!
Have a great week friends!

I was looking at the snow mobile tracks in the first shot and remembering how I was looking at the same thing in the farmers fields this morning. Snow was so sparse up til a couple weeks ago and I was feeling sorry for the sledders. Looks like lots of fun.
Fantastic work on the scrapping. I REALLY need to motivate myself to do that too.
I just got back from the scrap yard and that metal turned into 50 bucks. Not too shabby, plus it beats spending 50 bucks at the landfill to get rid of it!
Here the snow started melting and created a mess already. I guess spring is coming here soon. You still have a nice amount of snow. The biscuit looks delicious too. I am learning skiing and trust me, my legs hurt so much. :P
Oh good for you! I skied once and that was enough for me lol.
Hehe, I know skiing needs a lot of balance and a tough job...
Those first snow photos are lovely.
Looks like you had more than one kind of visitor from the tracks.
Yep.... Betsy needs to start earning her living. That is a neat feature where the seats go up and out of the way.
Oh yes she is a work truck. I just have to pamper it till I get a spray in bed liner to protect the sides.

A lot of good work done. You need the calories from the biscuits.
Wonder if you know what visitor made the tracks
