God exist and you don't need to trek miles, take a flight or enter vehicle to see Him.....He is an Omnipresent God...... He lives in our heart, home and every other places
One day, a friend asked me why didn't i go to church, guess what i told him? Do i really have to go to church before i can communicate with my God? Don't get me wrong, going to church is good, you meet others who loves God and you get to praise and worship him together but going to church is not the main point! is your act pure and are you clean?.....
The last time i heard a news about a kidnapper who was arrested and after his background was digged, he was known to be a devoted worshipper and videos of him going to a place of worship praying and praising God fervently was shown...
God creates us in His Image, how do you feel as a human when others are singing your praise for the good things you did for them? your head would swell up right? and you would feel like doing more because of how they make you feel...
The same way when you help someone and they refuse to show gratitude, you will feel reluctant to help them another time because you feel they are an ingrate and there are others that will appreciate your kind gestures....
Is there any amount you can gift a rich man that made you rich that will suprise him? ofcourse not! because he has it already but there is one thing he doesn't have which you can give him, that is your sincere appreciation, that will lighten his mood to help you and others more...
This shows God doesn't want our money or personal things, He want us to have faith in Him, He want us to believe in His existence and lastly He want us to appreciate and praise Him for the things he has done for us....
God purposely created us in His image so that so we can understand Him and what He want.....
God lives in our Heart
When we pray to God, He won't come down from Heaven to help us, it is someone he will use to answer our prayer... Whenever you seek help from him, it is someone that always come to your rescue which shows he lives in us ........
He is a God of wonders, you may ask him for pure water and he will send rain so he is an unpredictable God and works in a miraculuos way...

Interesting dad, I love it that you have written such a beautiful post, I'm happy I didn't miss it.
Truly God created us in his own image and if we want to please him, we can't do that by giving him the most expensive thing in the world, he will always prefer us to do his will than any of those things.
Part of his will is for us to believe in his son Jesus Christ because he is the way the truth and the light and no one goes to the father except through him.
Also he wants us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves as that will prove that we love him.
He also asked us to praise his name just as you have rightly stated and also we should not forsake the assembly of ourselves together. The last one I mentioned if you look at it very well, you will see that it is contrary to what you first said when you started.
Yes sometimes we miss the assembly of ourselves together but it should not be a deliberate act because we choose to tell ourselves that it doesn't mean too much as long as our hearts are right with God.
The church is a body as Paul with the help of the holy spirit described it. And as a body if the leg refuse to walk saying he is not important what do you think will happen to the other part of the body? Or if the mouth refuses to eat saying that it has an injury what do you think will happen to the other parts?
The Bible made us to understand that we are individual members of the body and if one refuses to perform his role, it will affect the other part as well, so going to the fellowship of your fellow brethren is very important, it is a sin to not be where your brethren have agreed to be at an appointed time.

Yea i think i agree with your points too since we think alike except for that one part about why going to church is a necessity.... you made a point about being a body so I have a question for you....
what is the difference between praying at home with your family and you all going to church to pray?

Well for your question, the difference is that you praying with your family is something you all agree and it is not proper for anyone part of the family to miss out of it because it's what all of you or majority of you have agreed on and not keeping to that agreement is a sin to yourselves and God because any agreement we make, God has sealed it also.
Now the church is also a family but this time it is not a physical one but a spiritual one and you know it shouldn't be business as usual because we have Christ as the head. Now we have agreed as a church to meet at a particular time for three days in the week but we only meet once, that is not acceptable by man not to even mention God.
Mind you, I'm not saying it is those that are in every gathering of the saints that are more righteous, no, but at least they are not adding to their sin by forfeiting the gathering for something else.

i don't quite agree to this that not going to church is a sin, it is not part of the ten commandment.... During the covid, there was no church service , would you say we all committed a sin for not going even though there was pandemic?
Hmm, as Christians we only have two golden laws and they are love God and love your neighbors as you love yourself. The ten commandments were given to the children of Israel through Moses, remember?
Well for the time of the pandemic, the church agreed they won't be meeting in church halls right? So it was agreed but as long as there is no change in agreement breaking any one is wrong.
So not going to church means we don’t love God, not visiting your parents means you don’t love them? Even though you communicate with them on phone all the time?
That is human law, not God law, it is human that is deciding all that.. what God want from us to love him, he didn’t say we must go to church to do that…
Moreover Christians , Muslims are both serving the same God right? Are you saying Muslims are sinners for not going to church?

Okay, after reading this I know your views about serving God and I will just want you to study your Bible more and maybe some other time we talk about it. It's very obvious we have different opinions on this but the Bible has answers to all our questions, it's just left for us to believe it or not.
