So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week, which is “TIME AND AGAIN”.

But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “STILL WORTH IT”.

This topic was geared toward each member of the community sharing with us their thoughts on getting degrees in this modern day. For many, they end up doing jobs different from what they studied for, and their degrees don’t really serve them as they should.

However, that doesn’t make degrees obsolete, because it’s very important. While the world doesn’t seem to appreciate education for what it is, its impact is still being felt, and as such, it should be valued by everyone who has the privilege to get it. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.

For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w182e2; tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author talked about how many people in 2025 work jobs that they hate, after chasing university degrees that often lead nowhere. So much goes into getting educated, and it can be quite painful when, at the end of it all, you can’t use it to do something meaningful. But in the end, investing in yourself will always be a wise option.

For this author, he believes strongly in the power of education and what it can do for the people. He applies the things he was taught in school every day of his life; they help him navigate through daily living. He knows that while there is still so much room for improvement when it comes to the educational sector, he doesn’t believe that we shouldn’t get a degree.

*For this author, he talked about how education is the backbone of every nation. It’s sad that today, many people chase degrees simply to qualify for jobs, and not because they have a genuine thirst for knowledge. In the end, the worth of education depends solely on the individual. The worth they place on it would determine if they’d be willing to see it through to the very end. *

What ethical dilemma would such an advancement put us in?”
