Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be Week 94, Edition 03 of our Weekly Featured Content.
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on our third topic for this week which is “ONE GOOD DEED”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last one which was “HOLIDAY TRADITIONS MISUNDERSTOOD”. This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling about the traditions that have become more and more rampant over the years. Traditions that they believe are better off not being observed because they ad little to nothing to society.
We got to see the different things members were tired of and wanted gone for good. There are so many things about the season that make life miserable, but since so many people do it, it can be hard to avoid it. So scrapping it from existence would not be a terrible idea at all. It was an enlightening topic.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w94e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author shared with us the dangers fireworks have come to pose during the holidays when people use them to the extreme. A lot of people make use of them without following the laid down safety procedures and many times, it leads to injuries or damage to properties. This is one tradition we can do without
THE HOLIDAYS- HIGH DEMANDS & INFLATION ITEMS by @merit.ahama
This author told us about how the price of goods and services is always inflated during the holiday season. Traders and service providers knowingly hike their prices just so they can get more money from their customers. This is something that has become so rampant and one that needs to be stopped because it helps no one at all.

This author told us about the tradition of gift-bringing during functions. That in itself is not a problem, however, it becomes a problem when it becomes a prerequisite for attending the said function and then being shamed for coming without it. Because of issues like this, many people prefer not to attend functions because they simply can’t afford gifts.
