Hello friends of Hive, I hope you are very well. Thinking about the most memorable day of our life, makes us search in the trunk of memories, and reflect on all those moments, to identify which of them has been the most memorable that has immortalized one of the days of our life.

If we are mothers, surely the day of the birth of our child will be the most memorable. But if we have more than one child, it is most likely that the day of the birth of the first one will be that day, except for specific situations that may occur.

Well, yes, as a mother, I'm in that mindset. The most memorable day of my life was that June 10, more than a decade ago, when I was finally able to hold my beloved and long-awaited son in my arms. It was a long day, but thank God, it was successful.

The day I found out I was pregnant is also very memorable, maybe one day I will tell you about it, but not the most memorable. I will tell you a little bit about my unique and special day.

At that time, on June 9, I had been very anxious. I was 38 weeks pregnant and two weeks earlier I had started having problems with my blood pressure (which is dangerous for both the baby and the mother). That 9th day I took my blood pressure many times, especially at night, I saw it high but my husband saw it as normal.

He went to sleep first, and I went to sleep very late, maybe it was already the 10th, but I didn't sleep much. My husband woke up first and said to me: "I know you have been worried and didn't sleep much, get ready to go to Betzaida's (his sister) house to get checked ".

My sister-in-law and her husband are doctors, he is a cardiologist and that day, Sunday, after breakfast we went to their house. When we got there and rested for a few minutes, they took my blood pressure and it was indeed high. They took me to the room, put me to bed and made me rest, every now and then they took my blood pressure, tried to listen to the baby's focus (which to my understanding is the heartbeat, I am not sure), and said it sounded fine.

However, my sister-in-law decided to call my doctor, who told her to take me to the emergency room and that I would have to have an emergency cesarean section.

Before arriving at the clinic, we stopped by my parents' house to let them know of the event and continued on to the clinic. Since the 36th week, when I started having blood pressure problems, I had my diaper bag with the baby's things ready in case of an emergency, but I did not bring it with me. I had no idea that I was going to have a cesarean section that morning when I left home.

We arrived at the clinic, they took my blood pressure, which was still a little high. While we were waiting for the doctor, the insurance paperwork was done for the admission, but the insurance still did not give the code. When the doctor arrived, she said that she could not wait, and she signed, taking responsibility in case the insurance did not. What a great gesture that I will never forget!

I didn't know at that moment how dangerous the situation was, I had had breakfast and for any intervention you have to be fasting and high blood pressure during pregnancy is very serious. The doctor was very nice as always, but I was very worried when she whispered in my ear, ask God to help us, everything will be fine!

That gave me a terrible scare, because it made me think about how delicate the situation was. They put me under spinal anesthesia and after a few minutes it began to take effect. It has already happened to me on several occasions that anesthesia makes me nauseous and I start sweating. The procedure began and I did not feel pain but I did hear the voices, and I felt something being passed through my abdomen, which I suppose was the scalpel, I felt some movement.

WHERE EVER 024.jpg

They talked about how when they moved the baby my blood pressure would go down. But I began to get a little anxious because of the nausea and then they put a mask on me and I think I fell asleep momentarily, because everything happened very quickly. Suddenly, when I was already awake, my sister-in-law, who as a doctor was able to be at the operation, came to my side and told me that the cesarean section had been a success.

WHERE EVER 018.jpg

Is it ready yet?, I asked her.

But I didn't hear the baby, I told her.

He said yes, everything was fine. Later I found out that my son had not cried at birth, but then he did. They put him in his clothes (because my husband went home to get the diaper bag) and put him on oxygen for a while. Then, because I was worried, she showed me a video she had taken of him in the oxygen chamber while he was crying. My son was a real prince charming, the one I had been waiting for all my life, and it came to me in small format. That was very reassuring.

WHERE EVER 004.jpg

Soon I was taken to the room, and then I found out that the whole family was there, which I found amazing. I have a small family but my husband has a very large one and everyone, but everyone who was in town, made an appearance.

That day my son and I were in a dangerous situation and everything went well, with no mishaps or further complications, but the whole family coming together to welcome my baby is something that will forever be linked to the most memorable day of my life.

WHERE EVER 017.jpg

WHERE EVER 024.jpg

WHERE EVER 018.jpg

WHERE EVER 004.jpg

Felicitaciones.

What a nice comment. Yes, it was quite an experience and the doctor's gesture could have been vital in everything going well. Maybe the procedure was done just in time. Thank you very much for your comment 😉

Wow... Only heaven knows the apprehension you must have gone through. It must have been so tough for you.
Thankfully you and the baby came out of it in good health, which makes the good news all the more satisfying.
This is a beautiful story, thank you for sharing it with us.

Hello Brunom, how are you? Thanks for leaving me your comment. This post has been very eventful, even though it is the one that has come from my heart the most. I published it late, because I had a confusion with the schedule. After posting it, I read the rules about the use of TAgs, and edited to add hl-blog and the country tag. I just edited again to add the hl-exclusive tag. But I checked and my post is not seen in the community, I don't know if it previously went through a review process.

But I noticed that not all the published posts that you see there have the tags. If you could guide me in this regard I would appreciate it.☺️
