I'M LEAVING HIVE?

I've been quite inactive for a while, not because I was on some self discovery journey or on a quest find God or something of that sort, I kind of just wanted to leave, seemed Hive wasn't for me.

It's was easy to get excited at first, the thought of writing and possibly getting money worth your time was compelling. Perfect for me I said. The first few weeks were encouraging. My introduction post had a lot of upvotes, well not alot alot but it was enough for me. So I started writing, trying to figure what my next post would be about. I wasn't expecting it to blow up like my introduction post because yes, nobody gets to the top that easy or at least some people don't so I wasn't surprised when it didn't get as much as my first post, little beginning right? Next post didn't do well to and I kinda hate the type of person I am sometimes because I tend to give up easy.

I started slacking, logged onto Peakd once in two days, it became once in a week, soon turned once in a month. The only time I was here was when I was feeling a little bit inspired and wanted to drop something, you know, so I don't feel irrelevant. I managed to sign up for the newbie initiative program, it gave me a little glimmer of hope but I still managed to miss out on verifying myself on discord, big bummer 😞.
Can't really blame anybody but myself for that and so I've decided.

Decided to do better, all I've had is time to think. Discipline, I'm majorly lacking discipline so I'm going on a one month discipline plan starting today. Nobody can really you but yourself, and God of course if you're religious.

So far so good, but then again it's only been 13 hours since I started, fingers are still crossed. I'm going to do it, make it to one month and see where else I can take myself from there. I have a good feeling about it. The difference between this plan and the ones I've had in the past that failed is, now, I've spiced it up with prayer and committed it to God.

I've been there my friend. They've been days when I've been on my toes thinking of something amazing to post and then, I put in the work to actually make that amazing post but at the end of the day, i don't get the kind of upvotes I expect.

For a while, I almost gave up, I think for a month or two I strayed trying to find my place in places i don't belong. But then I realized that you can't actually live in a house if you haven't laid a good foundation and work on building it up. It'll take time and hardwork but then you'll enjoy the luxury later.

I'm glad you found that strength to come back, I hope you'll keep being motivated to keep trying..I'm here to support you every step of the way. Glad to have you back my brother

😋❤️❤️✅✅✅✅

hehehe it's the way life goes sometimes. but you're back and trying again! and that's what's so important!

you will do best if you join a community that you love! then it won't be something that feels so much like work...it will be just like meeting up with friends and sharing your life.

keep trying!! never give up

and committing your goals to the Lord is probably the best step ever! hehehe

Thank you plenty, you mentioned about joining communities that share the same interested as I do but so far so good, I have not been able to fit in any of them, my friend @chincoculbert recommended the POB community but they haven't been really been too engaging so if had any suggestions in mind, that would be great.

it all depends on what kind of writer you are, I suppose!

And of course...you need to be supportive in the community too. hahaha there are some people who expect others to engage on their posts, but they never go visit others and leave engaging comments on the rest of the community. hahaha so....that's rule #1 probably!

visit and support people in the community that you love with very meaningful and genuine comments that show you really want to get to know them. and if @chincoculbert is your friend.... awesome!!! he is a GREAT example to follow for engagement!!!

so what kind of posts do you write? what are your favorite topics?

Ohh Leah...I'm actually learning from the best...you're setting the pace for us to follow.. and I'm glad @nelson-george has a chance to receive advice from you..

Well george is trying to grow his HP so he can actually do more , so he's got to be really consistent too... we'll work on that together..

Thank you so much ❤️❤️✅

you will be an amazing help to him! All he needs to do is stick close to you, learn, and he will grow! :)

Sure...I'm going to get glue, if he doesn't want to stick I'll just glue him close to me...😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️

I'm into short stories mostly the one that have a little bit of mystery. But when I write, I think of music and movies, oh and a little bit of poetry

ahhhhhhhh short stories - then you MUST join @theinkwell community!!!

and the Freewrite community also! they have LOVELY communities where you'll enjoy writing and reading - and before you know it - you'll have a family there! hehehe

Sometimes, what we just need are words of encouragement, thank you for that. I'm still on my discipline plan and it's working out great so far.. I'd like to tell everybody how it goes after one month..thanks again
