Wednesday Walk: A walk on the bike

in Wednesday Walk2 years ago

Hi everybody!

Today I want to talk about our family bike ride to a neighboring village.

Back in spring, on the website of the tourist information center of our city, I found a cycle route to the village of Gzhel. The distance from our house to the village is about 20 kilometers. I suggested that my husband explore this route, and in mid-June we decided to go to Gzhel on bicycles.

Everything started great!

We decided to go on the navigator. Passing the city, we went to a country road:

Then the navigator took us to a suburban cottage village:

Further, the route passed through fish and hunting farms. See what kind of carp are caught in the pond. This pleasure costs 40 dollars a day. The fishermen were very pleased with their catch and allowed me to photograph it:

Fishing and hunting farms are separated by forest. We drove through the forest road. This part of the journey was the best! It is very beautiful and calm here.

Strawberries bloomed profusely along the side of the path:

And then we passed a hunting ground, but I didn’t take pictures there. I was anxious on this section of the route and we tried to pass it as quickly as possible.

The forest trail led us to a passage under the highway. This is the only place in our area where you can safely cross the highway and I was very happy when we found this passage:

After crossing the expressway, our route again lay through the fields:

And finally, we reached the village of Gzhel! This village is known for its porcelain, which is painted in white and blue tones.

The end point of our route was the Gzhel Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary:

I took a picture of the temple and we set off on our way back. We decided not to go back through the hunting grounds, but to change the route a little and drive through the forest.

In the forest, fallen trees began to come across on our way, but nothing alerted us:

And then it started like this:

After the past rains, there were huge puddles on the forest path that it was impossible to bypass!

As a result, for about three kilometers we dragged bicycles through puddles on ourselves and fed local mosquitoes with our blood:

How happy I was when we left the forest and I saw the lake!

We came out of the forest very dirty! Feet, sneakers and bikes were covered in mud!

Before driving home, we decided to wash off the dirt in the lake a bit. It's good that the water in the lake was warm!

I didn’t want to drive any more through the forest or through the fields, and we drove home on normal asphalt!

As a result, we drove about 40 kilometers, but because of the forest impassability, there is a feeling that we drove all 100!

My husband is delighted with this route, and I probably won’t subscribe to it again. This route is too hard for me.

Thank you for being with me!

so green and beautiful, probably a good idea to go quickly through the hunting area, and the fisherman seemed to do well with all those carp

This activity or walking by bicycle is something that most people like, especially for men who are always curious about the roads they take, it's no wonder if your husband really likes the route full of mud, it feels so fun and enjoyable. a bit of a challenge for him.😂😂
