The first day of the sixth month of the year showed sunny and warm. A perfect morning on the beach can be spent, in the same way as the previous days too. Although there were some clouds, far away, above the sea I knew they can not come quickly and spoil the morning. After a cup of coffee (still the decaffeinated version, woohoo, six months without caffeine) and two slices of toast with olive oil and tomato, the backpack welcomed a towel, a bottle of water, a phone and keys.
Let's go.
I went to a different beach today, as it is always more interesting to explore around. But before the relaxing time on the beach was reached, I passed by a small port. It is Porto Senso, a tiny marina in Altea.
There are several ports in this town, one main and a few smaller ones. Also, there is a difference in the size of the boats and yachts. In this one, Porto Senso, we can see just smaller boats, these are not the most exclusive ones in Altea. (Campomanes is the name of the other marina where those more luxurious yachts can be seen). So, I saw just modest, smaller boats that were sleeping there today. sleeping, as not many people were around. Weekends are busier, as the owners usually go sailing those days.
You can also see that the whole marina is not big. It's just a few docks, one restaurant (or bar, I didn't enter) and a place where one can rent out jet skis, kayaks and boats. I have never tried a jet ski, I am not a big fan of them. Well, to be honest, I don't know the feeling when you ride one, so I can't say that I don't like them. But what is not that nice is when you enjoy the silence in some calm cove and a water scooter pass by and make noise.
Not ranting, just saying. Kayak is already a more peaceful option, that maybe I would try. My niece is really good at kayaking, she did several regattas in the past few years, but on the river. My son also tried kayaking with a friend and it was not something they liked. Maybe they expected it is easier lol. And that the other one will paddle, but it didn't happen that way. When it is a double kayak, both have to give some effort.
Speaking about boats, a bigger one would be nice to rent, however, I am sure one has to poses a driving license for navigating a boat. At least that is the case here in Spain. You can also pay a person that would navigate for you while you enjoy the sea and waves. Oh, waves... Once, we went with a catamaran to see the cliffs of Sierra Gelada (the hill where our small village is situated). My husband and son got sickness, so the next time I will go alone.
Anyway, we are walking on the firm land and not navigating, after all, this is a Wednesday walk post. After this short visit to Porto Senso, the beach received my feet. If you heard someone screaming, well, that was me, entering the cold water.
But swimming was very pleasant!

We are going to the beach for several days already. It is more just sunbathing and chilling a bit, though short swimming also.
It is just the first second when you enter the water, but later when you swim fast, it's a super feeling haha

What a lovely walk, that port has some really nice boats, I am similar to you with Jet Skis, I haven't ridden one, and would love to one day to see what I think, but when your somewhere quiet and one comes racing along close to shore the sound is very annoying

Yes, it is a bit annoying when someone rides it in those moments you want to relax, but who knows what we are missing out on. Maybe it is a cool experience to try it, but first, one should learn to do it.
I can't do cold water either. Maybe when I was a kid but now I need the water to be somewhat warm.
Kayaking for leisure is a lot of fun. I've only done it a few times on rivers and lakes.
Yeah, cold water is not that appealing, I know. But it is just the first instant when we enter, later we adapt and it's cool actually. Cool, in all senses of the word 😂
Yes that's true and if it's hot enough outside it can be very refreshing as well
What will it be like to own one of those yachts? 😍 What a nice Mypian ride, a very nice harbor with very cool and beautiful water vehicles! I've never ridden a jet ski, it's an experience I have pending 😃.
😂😂 I would imagine so hahaha. The good thing is that after you submerge the body of adapts. In my case, if I go into cold water, my bones start to ache because I'm skinny 😢

I wish you can fulfil it one day, but first, make sure that you learn how to do it and have some guidance, it can be dangerous if you don't have experience.
Yes, it's true, I should eat more. Although I don't know, no matter how much I eat I never get fat 😢 . And yes, I must have a guide, to learn how to do stunts like that Sticker hahaha. 🙏😃🎵🤗

I have years without going to the beach and the closest ones here are a day's drive away, maybe someday I will try to go with my family, I'm so white I look like a vampire hahaha 🧛!!!
That port is great and it is very cool to have activities to do there, they are a good option to spend a different day with the family, but it is very clear that where there are waves you should go alone hehe. I once rode a jetski, they are very cool, the only thing is that yes, the noise they make stuns 🙃
It must be fascinating to see a day where many of those boats are sailing and also to see the yachts. I find boating a very pleasant adventure, when you are in the open sea it is a bit scary but when you pass by islands it is calmer 🚤.

Living by the sea has its benefits, though when we work a lot and don't have so much time to enjoy it, it's the same 😂 living two streets from it or a day's drive from it. 😂

About the jet ski, yesss, I did it once, I was accompanied, and believe me it's an incredible experience, it's a little scary I won't deny it, but it's worth it at least once, you might like it a lot 🙌😀💛!!!
