Hello friends, it is always a pleasure to participate in this initiative. Today I did not plan to leave my house, but due to situations that happen I had to do it and well, I take advantage and take some photos of my journey.
Hola amigos, es un placer siempre participar en esta iniciativa. Hoy no tenía planeado salir de mi casa, pero por situaciones que pasan tuve que hacerlo y bueno, aprovecho y saco algunas fotos de mi recorrido.
Well, what happened was that today I had to get some bus tickets to travel from Havana to Pinar del Río, it had to be today since the tickets are only available one month in advance and I needed them for December 30. Normally I do these steps through a cell phone application called Viajando, which allows me to buy tickets and pay for them from my cell phone, it even allows me to choose the seat where I want to go. But for some reason today the application did not respond and did not want to open, so I decided to come to the bus station to guarantee the purchase of the tickets. Since the end of the year is coming these tickets are more difficult to obtain, because everyone wants to visit their relatives from other provinces.
Pues lo que pasó fue que hoy tenía que sacar unos pasajes de autobús para viajar de La Habana a Pinar del Río, tenía que ser hoy ya que los pasajes solo están disponibles con un mes de antelación y los necesitaba para el día 30 de diciembre. Normalmente hago estas gestiones mediante una aplicación de celular que se llama Viajando, que me permite comprar los pasajes y pagarlos desde mi celular, hasta me permite escoger el asiento donde quiera ir. Pero por alguna razón hoy la aplicación no respondía y no quería abrir, por lo que decidí venir a la terminal de ómnibus para garantizar la compra de los pasajes, pues llegando fin de año estos son más difíciles de conseguir, ya que todo el mundo por estas fechas desea visitar a sus familiares de otras provincias.
So I take advantage of this situation and show you some photos of my journey, especially around the bus station, which is full of life since there are many private sales and service businesses and there are many people on the street.
Entonces aprovecho esta situación y así les muestro algunas fotos de mi recorrido, sobre todo de los alrededores de la terminal, que están llenos de vida ya que hay muchos negocios particulares de ventas y servicios y hay mucha gente en la calle.
Here you can see a beautiful mosaic of our national hero José Martí 🇨🇺, which is located at the entrance of the bus station.
Aquí pueden ver un bello mosaico de nuestro héroe nacional José Martí 🇨🇺, el cuál se encuentra a la entrada de la terminal de ómnibus.
This is inside the bus station, where you have to wait in line to buy the tickets, luckily there weren't many people. In the end I was able to buy the tickets and everything went well, I already have my ticket insured 😁.
Este es el interior de la terminal de ómnibus, donde hay que hacer una pequeña cola para poder comprar el ticket, por suerte no había mucha gente. Al final pude resolver yo todo salió bien, ya tengo mi pasaje asegurado 😁.
As I told you, in the surroundings there is a lot of life, since there are many sales businesses. Below I left some photos.
Como les dije, en los alrededores hay mucha vida, ya que hay muchos negocios de ventas. A continuación les dejo algunas fotos.
Here you can see several artisans right in front of the bus station, who sell their crafts, ornaments, stuffed animals, flowers, among other things.
Aquí pueden ver varios artesanos justo en frente de la terminal, que venden sus manualidades, adornos, peluches, flores, entre otras cosas.
This is one of the many shoe sales businesses in the city.
Este es uno de tantos negocios de venta de calzado que hay en la ciudad.
This is the Plaza de Artesanos, where people sell many things such as ornaments, household items, handbags, shoes, even little birds, among other things.
Esta es la Plaza de Artesanos, dónde las personas venden muchas cosas como adornos, cosas del hogar, carteras, zapatos, hasta pajaritos, entre otras cosas.
Al lado de todos estos negocios hay una librería muy bonita con opciones para todas las edades y quiero terminar mostrándole el Teatro Milanés, que es un lugar donde se puede disfrutar de obras de teatro, de comedias, infantiles y otros eventos culturales.
In the end, I returned home on my bicycle, which always accompanies me everywhere.
Al final regresé a mi casa en mi bicicleta, que siempre me acompaña a todas partes.
Anyway, it was an unplanned trip, but it is better to be safe than sorry. Thanks to the fact that I went, I was able to guarantee my ticket, since the application was presenting problems today. I'm glad I could have shown you this part of the city as well. See you.
