Today, that's it, we opened the oven after 24 hours of baking, 12 hours to go up to 980°, then 12 hours to come back to 0°, degree by degree so that there is no thermal shock !
This first batch is a real success from my point of view as a ceramic beginner, of course ;)
I'm quite happy with the result and that nothing broke, because it still represents hours of work and the firing is the moment that can turn everything upside down !

Aujourd'hui, ça y est on a ouvert le four après 24 heures de cuisson, 12 heures pour la montée jusqu'à 980°, puis 12 heures pour revenir à 0°, degré par degré pour qu'il n'y ai pas de choc thermique !
Cette première fournée est un véritable succès de mon point de vue de débutant en céramique, bien-sûr ;)
Je suis assez content du résultat et que rien ne se soit cassé, car cela représente tout de même des heures de travail et la cuisson est le moment qui peut tout faire basculer !!
For those who are not familiar with this project, my idea was to make at least one ceramic piece representing an object of the company, that I like... or not ! So you can find "in bulk" : a computer, a boot, a bottle of Roundup from Monsanto, a lot of elements related to cooking and food (obviously ^^), a phone, a mason book ;), a gun, and many others... I let you discover them !
Here are also in order my previous articles, on the modeling : 1, 2 then on the enamelling 3, 4 of these pieces, so you can see the whole process and realize the temporal amplitude of this project (more than a month)
Pour ceux qui ne sont pas familiarisé avec ce projet, mon idée était de réaliser au minimum une pièce en céramique représentant un objet de la société, que j'aime... ou non ! On peut donc retrouver "en vrac" : un ordinateur, une botte, un flacon de Roundup de Monsanto, beaucoup d'éléments liés à la cuisine et à la nourriture (évidemment ^^), un téléphone, un livre de franc-maçon ;), un pistolet, et bien d'autres... je vous laisse les découvrir !
Voici aussi dans l'ordre mes précédents articles, sur le modelage : 1, 2 puis sur l'émaillage : 3, 4 de ces pièces, ainsi vous pourrez voir tout le processus et vous rendre compte de l'amplitude temporelle de ce projet (plus d'un mois)
