RE: Contemplation

I still do not think it is right to constantly attack people Smaller than you knowing they cannot defend themselves and just have to sit and take it. Some of the people I know relied had come to rely on these platforms to live. Everything is completely public cause it’s all under the same user name of the account when you search so everything is public and linked to the same user name so that’s not doxing. I honestly got sick of seeing everyone I care about on this platform completely pushed off including charities. But I have said to you that it wasn’t right to snap back and I have apologised and I take full responibility for that. There is nothing more I can say than that because you can’t undo things in life but like I said I shouldn’t have snapped back.

Sort:

Let's agree to disagree on the doxing thing; you think what you did was not and I firmly believe that is was. Enough said.

In respect of the other stuff...These friends on the platform you speak of that you care about...Ok fine, but you'll not make a difference to them by repelling people like me. I'm just saying.

Also, my suggestion is to get out into London, or wherever in the UK you are, (I think UK anyway) and find a military veteran living on the street in squalor because the government failed him after his return from the sandbox. Give him your thanks and respect, buy him a meal (I suggest fish and chips with mushy peas and a coffee) and sit with him whilst he eats it and give him some dignity. I'd say, without the shadow of a doubt, that it will make an amazing difference to him and you'll get more thanks, and feeling or reward, from that act than you will get from all of these so-called friends on Hive or any other social media nutbaggery.

I’ve taken food out to the homeless before I can’t say I have met a veteran but we have done a few tours with food and Christmas presents in the past. It can be hard to find people when you are prepared though and you always see people when you don’t have anything. I agree tho. I am finished with the hive platform for now anywyas seem too many good friends and charities and amazing people pushed off I just use vyb now. But like I said I do actually apologise for snapping back and laughing at a YouTube channel it was very childish. It is all public tho so it’s not private information everything has the hive user name on. But like I said it was childish and immature to snap back I should have just continued ignoring it.

Excellent. Do more of that, it'll make your heart sing more happily.

I agree but remember there are charities on here that got hit hard and people who get 0 on every single post on here now who used that money to eat. I do know someone that lived off it and then got every post taken to 0 for a differnce in opinion. So there are things closer to home too. I am not excusing snapping i am just saying that as much as we think of homeless people this is a very real way to help homeless people as they do have mobile phones and imagine being homeless and seeing you have money then it’s taken away 10 hours before payment day.

I wonder what these charities and people did before Hive existed?

Anyway, I think I've said my piece and, as I believe most charities exist simply to line the pockets of those running them, we should leave it there. I do my own work directly in the real world, mostly in support of veterans and that's all I really know about charitable endeavours.

Well I think the point is they come to rely on something when they put a long time in and it becomes regular enough. For example if you work a 9-5 but want to be a photographer there comes a point where your like ok I have enough jobs now I can go freelance. There is a point you can come to rely on something and put full time fOcus on it.

I happen to agree with you on most charities but I thought hive was quite unique in that it allowed you to help more personally like one animal shelter or one project to build a new house in Africa etc. It rly cuts out the red tape and lets you see the project.

Provided it's all legit, which so many are not.

That could drive someone to suicide you know or to give up completely. I just don’t like seeing people do ths So carelessly just cause they have a bit more power than someone else. I really do know people who fed themselves from this and ended up with 0 just because of a different opinion on covid. It’s sad.

I'm familiar with suicide as many of my military friends have taken that route due to the lack of Government assistance and issues with PTSD and moral injury...The thought of someone taking their own life over a downvote is simply laughable when compared to what I've seen and dealt with over the years so.

This conversation, moving to suicide over downvotes, is going in a direction I'd not like it to; you may not understand, but if you knew me you would.

I really don’t think it is I think for some people if they have a chance to get food that week and see a payout then it gets taken away ten hours before payout I really think that can damage someoen. Not someone who has access to other money but we forget who uses these platforms not everyone has money and many live in thirdworld countries where these kind of payouts can be life changing.

You speak of Hive as if it's everyone's saviour and continue down the downvote line. Just so you know, I issue downvotes, like $6 ones, when required. I think it's a good thing. Life is hard, for some, but cheating the system, double posting, plagiarism, is always going to get punished when I see it. I don't care if they have to eat...By doing the wrong thing they are taking away the opportunity for someone else to gain who is doing the right thing.

I thought I'd get that out there.

As I said above, comparing suicide on Hive to PTSD-related suicide is, to me laughable and ridiculous. As I also said, it's not something I'm comfortable with talking above for personal reasons and so won't continue this comment thread. Ok?

And I understand it’s als close to me for various reasons too which and shan’t share publicly but sorry if I brought something up for you that was certainly not my intention.
