It's easier to tell others to lighten up but sometimes it's difficult for us to even take our own advice by all means. That's to say that sometimes we overly burden ourselves. Reality can kick us right in the gut and that's why I try to always hope for the best but expect the worse.

We can only do so much, and expecting the impossible from ourselves can even make things worse.

Sometimes when I tell people that we as humans generally have a sort of limitation. They tend to label me as a pessimist.

Tell them you're a realist, and observe how the conversation changes. 😉

Love that Clint Eastwood line as Dirty Harry: "A man's gotta know his limitations."

Hahaha, I love that clip. A man's truly gotta know his limitations.

But fundamentally ,men who pushed against limitations are the ones behind our biggest innovations and technologies

we generally let the hammer fall in full force when it comes to our own “failings”, sometimes very unfairly, and so much so as to make things even worse: we get depressed

I think, I am going through this now - accepting it as no big deal is not quick, I am trying, but it's not easy.

Every case is unique, of course. Some are easier than others to assimilate. Guess the key is that you're dealing with it, and trying not to be too hard on yourself. Sometimes though, we just want to kick ourselves in the ass (a very illustrative English idiom - not the same as "a kick in the ass", which is good) because it IS a big deal, but once the milk is spilled, well, that idiom is: no point in crying over spilt milk. All easier said than done. Guess one of the big keys is turning it into a learning experience. Good luck with it. Wish you the best.

Wise words!

Thank you sir.

You have some knowledge that seems to mind reading. Really we should not hard us. We need to a little easer to ourselves.

We're often very unfair with ourselves, and we need to make the effort to remember our good points too. Thanks for the comment!
