Here, each week, it will be our pleasure to abduct and feature some of your original artwork from the community to highlight. Alien Art Hive has been part of the OCD Community Incubation Program since May 2020! This has really helped our little community grow and reward tons of amazing artists! At the time of this post we have 1867 subscribers!

Alien Art Hive was created to be a fun, low-pressure community for artists/musicians to share their crazy creations and possibly collaborate!

Content doesn't need to be directly about ALIENS, this community is a place for people to post art and music that is other-worldy, inter-dimensional, unusual or strangely beautiful! We are accepting of many different types of art but if you do not loosely fit into one of the categories below we will kindly direct you to more appropriate art communities!
Genres that fit:

cryptoart / NFT
Metaverse
psychedelic style art
surrealism
experimental
visionary art
spiritual or occult/esoteric
space themed
outsider art
strange and bizarre themes or styles
Music, writing, and poetry are also welcome if they fall into these categories.
Feel free to post any creative medium or style you can dream of. The only firm criteria that will be enforced is that the content must be original art made by you. We are strong supporters of artistic freedom and see nothing wrong with taking inspiration from other artists or remixing to create something entirely new. If however the art is not made from scratch it's good etiquette to cite your sources so people can understand exactly what they are curating.

And what an amazing Community! I had no idea when I started with @nftshowroom a few months ago that there existed such a deeply talented and supportive #HIVE community!
Thank you for your contribution to the community this week! Your art was awesome and it would be even more appreciated if everyone went to see it in action over at the NFT Showroom link in your post. The stills don't do it justice... but i thought the selection featured in this post gave the overall vibe from the source.
This community is awesome and the number and quality of talented artists continue to increase as we grow. I am glad you finally started posting and have joined the party! I had a hard time finding your post to link up because the community account didn't have the NSFW setting on! hahhaa I don't think anything you shared so far is NSFW. Using that tag could limit your viewership... but i commend you for playing it safe and taking a precautionary approach. =)

Hey, i had to consult with Julia to see for sure about the answers to your questions. They aren't really noob questions either... so don't feel bad! hahaha I had to find out too!
As far as the tags go... we aren't sure what the outcome will be. I would say go ahead and remove the NSFW tags on your posts so far. You can always edit tags and your post during the payout cycle or well afterward.
In regard to the NSFW guidelines... we aren't really sure there is a complete consensus on that and there isn't any post i am aware of dealing with it in any measure of detail. Photography and Art get a little bit more leeway in that area. The community has always had a stance that some boobs or nips can be alright and some booty and/or buttcrack is fair game. But the genital regions of either sex would put it in the NSFW category depending on how it's presented.
How tasteful things are done is a factor as well as how suggestive it is. Pretty much anything sexually explicit would need the tag. Anything else would be a judgment call. The sculpture of David has full frontal nudity including genitals... and i don't think that is considered NSFW... so it's really subjective i suppose.

I think sharing as much of the art and the process in the post is always advised! It makes the post more engaging to read and look at. It also helps us see more about what it takes to create the art and i think that reflects a bit about the artist! Keep up the great work and don't hold back. =)

I create a Alien series just for this comunity. Was the first Nft that I Upload in NFTShowroom site, i'm creating some alien art very freak since 2020. But I'm hive músician so I don't know too much about arts and aliens scene here in Hive, but Luckyly for me I find an old post few weeks ago about NFTShowroom and I Say woooow this is My People!!! And my alien shop arrives to this comunity, today I'm going to upload My second Nft with alien vibes I cannot upload days ago cause I was in 3speaks contest with that artwork and I cannot upload. But the contest is over and I won the second place so finnaly I'm going to upload My second alien artwork in My NFTShowroom gallery :) i'm huge alien fan since i was a little child. Lucky for me I watch several ovnis and here in My country is normal to watch them. So for me is very easy to conect with that vibes
