Finally!
It has been quite the challenge to be honest ^^
But now it's done and I'm very very happy :)
I wanted to have my own website for a long while now.
All my art is spread across different nft-platforms and all I had was a boring linktree from which one could get to the different galleries, which was quite inconvenient. Especially when someone I meet asks me what kind of art I make.
So I wanted to have a place where people (and I ^^) can find all my art in one place, a place that looks nice and welcoming :)
But the internet is a great mystery to me and I really didn't know how making a website works ... with domains and hosting and different website editors and all that stuff. So I ran into a lot of obstacles on the way ^^
I've learned the hard way that you have to wait 60 days until you can transfer or connect your domain to another hosting platform.
Also I've learned that not every hosting service offers .art domains.
Double check both of these things before you put days of work into building the site (like me ^^).
But in the end I had a lot of fun designing the site and making a cosy home for my paintings. Very creative work, very interesting kind of art :)
And the best part is that I now do have my own website! Yeih!
So it was worth all the trouble and I'm super happy with it and very excited! I feel so professional now ^^

I like your network solution and can very much relate as I am in the beginning of designing (and then coding) my own.
This part is really outrageous. Did you also get it from domain com? It appeared to me that they offer domain names but not hosting. I think they hideously and purposefully hide that 60 day piece. I am waiting now.
No, I got my domain at Namecheap.com (don't know why those services all have such stupid names ^^) because they had a discount on .art domains. They do offer hosting but it's unbelievably expensive. Maybe you're right and they hide the 60 day thing on purpose, who knows. It's really unnerving, I feel you <3
For hosting I can recommend one.com! They aren't as expensive and their customer service was really great, very friendly people there! That was the site that doesn't offer .art domains, so I ended up not hosting there, but they do host all other kinds of domains and if I wouldn't insist on .art I would have had my website there.
I've selected Endora.cz to be my hosting which I have had a good experience with long ago. The paid program costs less and gives me all I need.
