Restarting My Blogs with This Account

in ArtBees3 years ago

TL:DR: This isn’t a reintroduction post. I am restarting my blog on a different account. My main account is @adamada. This is an attempt to reorganize my blogs to fit into a niche. I’d still blog on my other accounts for other topics I like posting. This one would just be focusing on my art stuff.

I got a lot of things on my to do list and this reorganization has long been overdue. I started blogging about art for a hobby and still do. But then I got other interests on the platform which I wrote about now my main account is a mess. I have come into terms of how I want to grow in my hobby. I see growth outside the platform.

There’s a bigger world where a lot of artists compete for attention and I want push myself outside the comfort zone.

Hive has been generous when it comes to giving me some recognition, rewards, and audience for my hobby. But I have been disillusioned about the value I create and how much I am being compensated for it. Long story short, my content ain’t all that and there’s a bigger playing field outside this platform to which I want to try out.

And maybe when I get some traction outside, I can try to draw in more users to this platform. Just marketing the platform in my own way. I did wrote about how I apply some SEO on my blogs. This move is part of the greater long term goals I try to accomplish for myself.

This is an old attempt made from experimenting with strokes and styles.

I still thank Hive (including the old blockchain and the community) for giving me the push to move forward. Plastered on this post are bits of my journey on the platform. I intend to keep alive the fire that takes form of my passion.

Studio Ghibli will be on the phone my friend!

Sad, in an alternate timeline I'd be pursuing a different degree, get that scholarship to study abroad (Japan) and weasel my way out of the system then dive right into the anime industry. But alas, I just had to be a doctor to fulfill another dream.

The long term goal here is just enticing more people to onboard on Hive, the ones already doing creative work rather than forcing themselves to create content because they miss out on rewards. I like to see more people being passionate about what they share here rather than get involved only cause there's $ in it.

Unfortunately, that's the nature of the beast and many use the excuse of 'consistency' just to churn one or two pieces out every day.
As for the art. Instead of creating (what appears to be) random pieces, create a story, use your favourite creation to put it into different scenes and narratives and then see where it leads you!
So many things you can do when you have an artistic talent, you can use the skill to fill a few seconds or a few hours. Just keep enjoying it!
You have a great weekend :-)

I've always wanted to try to make a post series about a recurring theme. Maybe I can finally do that with the new account. I was having trouble starting anything as I was getting followers for different topics and now just end up hurting my own blog page.

Thanks for stopping by and the advice! you have a good weekend too :D

Cool. I see this as a step in the right direction. Organizing has been at the back of my mind to but been too busy to do it right. Congrats on doing it. Have a !PIZZA. :)

It's a half baked attempt to move ahead on getting serious with blogging. I see some results on my other SEO attempts that have built up overtime. Not expecting grand results, a small following built overtime off platform is realistic and snowball my stuff from there.

Anything that adds to the value of your blogging is welcome in my eyes, especially with SEO. Even with a small target, this will still accumulate over time.

Dami mong talent dok, salute to you.

Hobby lang to.

Sugoi! Beautiful characters adam 😍

Only cause you pointed the right directions. Several works have gone to the recycle bin just cause I admit the parts where I can't. I still see the I can't parts on all my works but trying to break that habit takes time.

I'm glad I still got a community left to chat on ArtBees. This is the type of environment I wish more beginner artists found out soon and make good use.

I learned by posting stuff on a forum I was on at the time and having people explain to me what needed work, and then working on it for the next piece (because if I kept fixing everything that was wrong with stuff I'd posted unless it was a wip I specifically needed help on, I would never get anything done).

So rather than bin things that aren't working, either post them and ask for help or do what you did and drop them in Artbees and ask for help :)

Okay well feel free to bin some things that really aren't working, sometimes you embark on what seems like a good idea at the time and then you just don't feel it after a while (which is pretty much what's happening with that sketch I posted in my last progblog, I did a few more flats today, then looked at it and was like really should finish it just so I have concept art of these two but...nup).

What do you mean you've got a community left to chat on :O

Well I am in several communities but most end up me lurking on them with no topic to connect with. I pop in to see what's up and then move to another server to rinse and repeat. I do that to ArtBees too but I find myself more chatty there.

If I stop and continue later there's a greater chance I would abandon it afterwards. So I just end up working on it for hour with breaks just leaving it minimized trying to break the habit of not abandoning too early and push.

“I see growth outside the platform.”
I admire your thoughts.
I’m seeing that as well. I hope we can both reach it someday!

You're several steps ahead of me on that area. You invested a lot of time building those skills and it shows on your content shared. I stagnated for other reasons but the direction is still somewhat the same. Good luck to us :D

Ooooh so this is where you've been posting your art owo
You're style is very distinct, imo. I'd recognize it in a heartbeat :>

As cheesy as it sounds, the community is REALLY helpful with personal progress owo

@ryivhnn carries bulk of the positive energy around. Wish the style is unique but it's just an alt version from an existing style I emulated from other artists. I think I lost pieces of individuality from the artist I took inspiration and just altered it to my own interpretation. Not exactly a better result but I'll take what I can get.

Come back to active posting kothy, stop being a rebel.

Do you want her to be a rebel or not, make up yo' mind child ;D

She can be both and I will still support her. Maybe. :>

I shall be both then

If it's any consolation I'm pretty sure my style is just a Frankenstein of styles I picked up along the way >u<

Idk tho, there's something that's very distinct about your sketches... Doesn't altering it to your own interpretation make it unique?

I believe that was one of the ideas from the outset :)
