RE: Military build up

in Galenkp's Stufflast month

Yep, I grew up with Lego, second hand Lego usually as my parents weren't very financially well to-do. I now build Lego Technic, some of which costs me $1000 and more but I don't care; no second hand stuff these days and I rarely even think about the cost. I've worked hard enough for it and to put myself in this position...and I thank my parents for helping raise me to be the man who works hard, builds knowledge and uses that to furnish himself with a comfortable life and future. So...second hand Lego taught me many lessons.

Anyway, I'd be interested in hearing if that collection is still there, could be a good post in it.

Isn't it awesome to finally be able to afford one's hobbies and not having to scrape the cents together for it anymore? I love it.

And yes, I'll see what memories I can find at home. My mom is moving, and I'll help her while we're there, so there some treasures will turn up. Probably more than just one post...

In the Siku machines, there was the Claas Lexion 460, a milestone in harvesting technique (or so I was told). My godfather got one, and gifted me the Siku version for Christmas. My brother got so jealous that he ran out screaming.
