Remember I told you about the pig that bit me? It all happened in the Ukrainian Carpathians, and we went there for three days, because my mother had long dreamed of seeing the famous Shipit waterfall, which is located in the village of Pylypets.
So, we settled on the edge of the village and on the same road where the wild boar was walking, we went to the mountains to the reserve, which is located at the foot of Mount Gemba.

мене? Це все відбувалося в Українських Карпатах, і ми поїхали туди на три дні, тому що моя мама дуже давно мріяла побачити знаменитий водоспад Шипіт, який знаходиться в селі Пилипець.
Отож, ми поселилися на краю села і по тій самій дорозі, де гуляла дика свиня, ми пішли в гори до заповідника, який знаходиться біля підніжжя гори Гемба.
We were walking along the road and I really liked that the stones on the mountain on the right were fenced with a net. My dad explained to me that it protects people and cars from falling and injuring tourists. This is very reasonable because the stones are big!
Ми йшли по дорозі і мені дуже сподобалося, що камені на горі праворуч були обгороджені сіткою. Мій тато пояснив мені, що це захищає людей та машини від того, що вони можуть впасти і травмувати туристів. Це дуже розумно, тому що камені великі!
When you travel in the Carpathians, you do not need to take water on the road because in the Carpathians the water flows from the mountains, clean from the source. Water can be take and drunk literally everywhere.
Here the color of the earth where the water flows is so orange as if painted. Mom says - apparently there is iron in the water.
Ще, коли ти подорожуєш в Карпатах, в дорогу не треба брати води тому, що в Карпатах вода тече з гір, чиста з джерела. Воду можна набрати буквально всюди.
Ось тут колір землі, де тече вода є настільки рудим, наче пофарбованим. Мама каже - мабуть в воді є залізо.
Our road ran constantly along a fast-flowing mountain river, which everywhere formed many mini waterfalls. The most interesting thing was to cross the wooden bridge, which was coolly swaying :)
Наша дорога пролягала постійно вздовж гірської швидкоплинної річки, яка скрізь утворювала багато міні водоспадів. Найцікавіше було переходити через дерев'яний міст, який прикольно хитався :)
At the foot of the mountains grows a lot of blueberries and cranberries, because the land there is very fertile. My family and I ate blueberries so much that our lips and hands were black from its juice! And we found a bright red russula in green moss. Locals know mushroom places where you can find many white mushrooms, but it is necessary to go high and far into the mountains.
Біля підніжжя гір росте багато чорниці і брусниці, тому що земля там дуже родюча. Ми разом з моєю сім'єю так сильно наїлись чорниці, що губи та руки у нас були чорного кольору від її соку! А ще ми знайшли яскраву червону сироїжку в зеленому мосі. Місцеві люди знають грибні місця, де можна знайти багато білих грибів, але це потрібно йти високо і далеко в гори.
And so we finally heard the loud sound of water roaring and falling from a height, and then we saw in the distance this amazing phenomenon - many cascades of snow-white foamy water! Hurray!!! We finally reached Shipit waterfall. The water fell loudly on the stone and was very slippery. Some people soaked their feet in water. But the waterfall was very cold, and I did not dare to climb there. My mother and I approached the edge of the waterfall together and caught the energy of the water, spreading our arms like birds. I noticed that there is really amazing energy, because we are not tired in this trip.
І ось ми нарешті почули гучний звук води, яка шумить та падає з висоти, а потім ми побачили вдалині це дивовижне явище - багато каскадів білосніжної пінної води! Ура!!! Ми нарешті дійшли до водоспаду Шипіт. Вода гучно спадала по камінню і було дуже слизько. Деякі люди мочили ноги в воді. Але від водоспаду був сильний холод, і я не наважилась туди залізти. Ми з мамою підійшли до краю водоспаду разом і ловили енергію води, розставивши руки наче птахи. Я помітила, що там справді дивовижна енергія, тому що ми зовсім не втомились в цьому поході.
My sister Victoria was very brave and she climbed on the upper stone terrace!
Моя сестра Вікторія була дуже смілива і вона вилізла на верхню кам'яну терасу!
And my mom and dad are special heroes - they climbed under the cold stream of water and bathed there like in the shower. It was a great impression from seeing the largest waterfall in the Carpathians!
А моя мама і тато особливі герої - вони залізли під холодний потік води і купались там, як під душем. Це було несамовите враження від побаченого найбільшого водоспаду в Карпатах!
