wallet

"Sitting on a fat wallet can be a pain in the butt," says Tullus, "but sometimes it can be a nice cushion for a bumpy ride. Either way, it helps to diversify your back pockets to stay balanced." He drinks some ice tea. "I have no idea where I'm going with this metaphor."

"Yes, well," says Stacey, "Suleman's wallet?"

"Ah, yes," Tullus gets out his cell phone.

"You have a cell phone?" asks Stacey.

"Of course. What were you thinking?"

"I don't know. I figured you'd do everything with an old Nokia and a Palm Pilot."

Tullus ignores her and looks something up, then writes it down on a napkin. He continues doing things on his cell phone and then writing on the napkin.

"Uh," says Stacey, "if you have a cell phone, we have one too, you could just text it to us. And if you're concerned about privacy there are other ways... There's this fascinating process called encryption..."

"It's not about privacy," says Tullus, passing the napkin, "it's about drama."

"So," says Jim, "what are we looking at?"

"I tracked all the Logg that Mark has, or rather, had," said Tullus.

"What do you mean?" asks Stacey.

"Well, I didn't know this until now," says Tullus, "but it seems Mark has pretty much sold all of his Logg. It's all over the place now. He did it slowly, pieces here and there, but steadily, ever since the ICO."

Stacey turns to Jim, grabs his arm. She says, "Just like I said Vilt would do with FutureCoin."

"So," says Jim, turning to Tullus, trying not to seem acutely aware that Stacey has her hand on his arm, "Mark Suleman no longer owns half of all Logg?"

"Not even .00000001 percent," says Tullus.

Stacey's eyes go wide. She lets go of Jim. "What about the Logg where you say you recorded the FutureCoin exploit?" asks Stacey.

"Interestingly enough," says Tullus, "the way we made our original wallet, and he seems to still use it as well as his original address, all Logg deposited are last-in-first-out."

"Why?" asks Jim.

"Because LIFO and Logg have the same number of letters and both start with 'L,'" says Tullus.

"Ah," says Jim.

"Now all he has left in this wallet is our very first Logg. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he was keeping it for sentimental reasons... But more likely it's because it is such a little amount, it's basically 'dust' that would cost more in transfer fees than it is worth. You'd have to transfer in Logg just so you'd have enough to transfer that last bit out. Worthless to him. And yet, ironically, that 'dust' happens to be exactly the Logg we need."

"How do we get it?" asks Stacey.

"Well, unlike my first attempt, I don't think there are any exploits in Logg. If I just asked him for it, seeing as we haven't talked in a very long time and we didn't exactly end things in a 'call me up if you ever need someone to help you move out of your mansion or studio apartment' way... Well, he'd be suspicious. He'd look into it, and may find the exploit himself, and I don't think that would be very..." He looks around the room, as if it had the word he wanted was in the ether somewhere. "...Optimal."

Tullus sits quietly for a bit.

"Well," says Stacey, "if there's no exploit in Logg, is there an exploit in Suleman?"

"Hmm..." says Tullus. "Maybe."
