A day the ghost came to visit again. It was a Tuesday night in Dale, Amsterdam. The clock struck 11 and pretty much everyone was fast asleep. Tell you something about Dale. It's a small town where nothing's scarier than the eerie silence at night. No one ever seems to be out after 22:30. No one could, not after the recent wave of murder reports of late. Gilda turned off the television and sighed. She took her dishes to the kitchen and placed them on the sink. "just attend to em now, a voice said from within". She stared at the dirty dishes trying to decide whether or not to go through with it. Oh crap! I'll do it tomorrow, she said aloud and left the kitchen. Just then her mobile rang, she strode across the room and picked the call. "hey dear, how're you doing". It was Ken, her husband. "hi love, I got called in late. We couldn't close the deal today, it might take a while" he responded. A while? What's a while, an hour, two?. You shouldn't be moving around this late, not with what's going on" she said, feeling concerned. oh really, awwwwn! You don't have to worry though, I'm pretty sure I could take anyone, I've been taking some self-defense classes you know" Ken said and laughed a little. Gilda buried her face in her palms, oh silly, just find somewhere to stay the night, will you?. Alright, fine...if you insist". Ken replied. She spoke with Ken for some minutes before hanging up. She looked at her mobile, it was already past midnight. She turned off the lights and went into the bedroom. She sighed, feeling a bit gross about herself. She stared at the beautiful young man that lay asleep in her bed. He looked even more handsome in that state. Gilda had known Tux for over a year now. It happened back when she and Ken had some issues and were on the verge of a break-up. She met him at a house party and admired his sense of humor. She developed feelings almost immediately and they started something new. However, her newly found romance was short-lived as Ken resolved with Gilda and asked her to be his wife a month later. She loved Ken and accepted without thinking twice but she really couldn't do away with Tux also. She sighed again and tried not to think about her situation. She suddenly felt the need to get a drink, "Tux" she tugged at his shoulders. He rolled and touching her cheeks replied, "yes dear". I'm going to get myself some wine, do you want anything to drink? Gilda asked. Oh, sweet, bring an extra glass then he replied. She stood up slowly and made her way to the kitchen. She opened the wine fridge and took out a bottle of Chardonnay. She heard someone flip a switch and just then the parlor lights went out. "Tux, Tux is that you" she called out but was met with silence. She grabbed a tray, placed the wine and two wine glasses in it, and proceeded to the bedroom. It was dark but she could still find her way. She heard a lock click, "Tux, what are you up to?", Still no reply. She shrugged and made her way to the bedroom, she turned the knob gently, being careful enough so as not to spill the contents of the tray. She suddenly screamed and let go of the tray. The glass shattered as it hit the floor exploding into tiny fragments. She stared in utter dismay at the horror i front of her. She covered her mouth and tried to fight back the tears that clouded her eyes. She pinched herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming. Right in front of her Tux lay, naked on the marble floor in a pool of blood.
