There is time for everything under the sun. A #time to work and a time to rest. But you know, one thing I keep #learning as life goes on is that the time we have to labour is not forever. That is why it is important to labour while it is still day.
Sometimes I just look around and see how many people take their time for granted. We act as if the day will always be there, as if strength, #opportunities, or even life itself will wait for us forever. But the truth is, they will not. There is a season for everything. There is a #season when our hands are strong and our minds are fresh. There is a season when we have chances before us that may never come again.
I personally believe that going through a whole day without achieving something meaningful is like destroying a soul. When an hour goes by without #purpose, it feels like a soul per hour is being wasted. That is how serious time is. Do not go through a day empty. Ensure you build #value each day. Walk around people who help your purpose and value grow. When you stay around those who sleep always or take life too easy, there is a tendency that you could also be affected. But when you walk with men of purpose, men that work while it is day, it stirs you up. It helps you to stay active and focused.
That is what #labouring while it is day truly means to me making every moment count, not just through activity, but through purpose. It is not only about being busy; it is about being fruitful and intentional with the time and light that we still have.
For some people, it may be their #farm, #business, or #studies. For others, it may be their walk with God, serving people, or building something meaningful. Whatever it is, there is always a daytime, a period when the light of opportunity still shines.
When night comes could means old age, tiredness, lost of chances, or even the end of life, work becomes difficult and sometimes impossible. #Jesus said, I must work the works of Him that sent me while it is day, for the night cometh when no man can work. That verse speaks to me deeply. It reminds me that we are not just working for ourselves, but fulfilling a purpose given to us by God.
Sometimes I tell myself, do not waste your daylight. Even when it feels tough, even when others are playing around, I remind myself that one day I will look back and either be glad I laboured or wish I had done more.
So whatever your hand finds to do, do it now. Do not wait till tomorrow. Do not say later. Because later might not look like now. Labour while it is day.
