Kaleidoscope

I’ve seen you,
Among the mirrors.
Your profile so crackled,
Like a broken sky.

-In darkness.
There’s beauty, there’s love…
The iridescent skin of yours,
It’s all I see, through my eyes.

From multiple angles, I can gaze at you,
Three hundred and sixty degrees,
From my hiding site…
-Lean on again.

With my brittle kaleidoscope
I keep my eyes on you,
A stranger, who’s stranded,
Wandering in the curves of your
Majestic body.

Your smile lightens me up,
Making me feel numb,
But also mesmerized.
Be mine, is all I ask,
And I’ll be yours
-Forevermore.

Many colors,
-A rainbow.
My life broods
The time, the years…
-With your defects.

A poet I’ve become,
Inspired by the stunning glow,
And your maddening presence,
While my hands just hold,
A pen and a kaleidoscope

And when your eyes,
-Green eyes,
Meet mine, I’d like to give you
My thoughts and rhymes,
As a gift for being alive.
