"Mike this is crazy" Dave cried for the umpteenth time.

"No, this a thrill, Dave?" Mike shouted over the howling wind as he pedaled his bike along the razor-thin ridge.

""A thrill? This is like a flipping death wish, Mike!" Dave's voice cracked, his eyes bulging with sheer terror as he stole a glance at the sheer drops on either side of the treacherous ridge. "I must be out of my ever-loving mind for agreeing to tag along on this crazy ride with you!"

"Aw, come on, where's your sense of adventure?" Mike chuckled, his voice tinged with bravado.

Dave gulped, his grip tightening on the handlebars. "My sense of adventure is telling me we're insane for even attempting this!"

"Whoa, just hold on tight!" Mike shouted, struggling to maintain control.

"I'm trying!" Dave yelled back, "but every pedal just feels like you're fighting with the wind" his heart pounding in his chest.

"Ofcourse you're. That's the thrill ".

Slowly they edged forward, each pedal stroke felt like a defiance against the relentless pull of gravity and the unforgiving elements. Yet, just as a glimmer of hope danced in their minds that they were through with the narrow path, a thunderous crack shattered the eerie silence, echoing through the air.

"What was that?" Dave cried, panic creeping into his voice.
"I don't know, but I can swear tell that it doesn't sound like anything good!" Mike replied, scanning the ridge for any signs of danger.

Suddenly, the ground beneath them began to shake, and rocks came tumbling down the narrow slope.

"Oh no, avalanche!" Dave shouted, his eyes widening in horror.

With nowhere left to turn, they pushed forward with a desperation that seemed to defy the very laws of nature. Adrenaline rushing through their veins, propelling them forward as if their lives depended on it—which, in that moment, they did. Miraculously, they evaded the torrent of rocks hurtling toward them, but their ordeal was far from over.

Finally reaching solid ground, they collapsed in a heap, their bodies trembling with exhaustion. Dave managed to choke out a hoarse laugh between gasps for air. "Never again in my beautiful life will I try this. Never," he croaked, his voice a mixture of disbelief and relief.

"Agreed," Mike replied, his breaths ragged and labored. "But hey, we've got one hell of a story to tell?"

"That's if we ever find a way to get of of this mountain" with fear on his face. "Dude the avalanche just destroyed our pathway home" Dave said in fear pointing to the path the just came from.

"Oh no!" Mike exclaimed.

Thank you for reading.

They should be lucky to have made it out there alive and not buried beneath the ruins of the Cliff.

Yeah they are lucky.

A realistic representation of an avalanche encountered during a bike trip along a steep ridge.
