Joint reading.

When I think of the word joint, my mind goes back to my early school days. In nursery school, we often had joint reading sessions during children’s literature time. Our teacher would open a big colorful book, and instead of one person reading alone, we all read together. Some of us stumbled over words, others read too fast, and a few only whispered, but somehow, our voices blended into one.

It wasn’t just about reading, it was about learning together. If I missed a word, my friend beside me filled it in. If someone didn’t understand a sentence, the rest of us repeated it until it made sense. Those moments taught me that teamwork isn’t only about sharing tasks; sometimes, it’s about carrying each other along so no one is left behind.

Looking back, I realize how powerful those little “joint readings” were. They made learning less frightening, more fun, and most importantly, they taught me that working together makes the journey easier.
