El fin de semana pasado nos fuimos a Cudillero, ubicado en el Principado de Asturias, Cuideiru en asturiano, aproximadamente a 2 horas y 30 minutos del pueblo donde vivo.
Last weekend we went to Cudillero, located in the Principality of Asturias, Cuideiru in Asturian, approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes from the town where I live.
Las fotos que veía de este pueblo pesquero eran espectaculares, y al llegar, quedé enamorada de sus colores, casas frente al mar, muchos sitios donde comer y gente dándole vida a este lugar.
The photos I saw of this fishing village were spectacular, and when I arrived, I fell in love with its colors, houses facing the sea, many places to eat and people giving life to this place.

Upon arrival, there are stalls selling handicrafts, images of Cudillero and accessories.
Más adelante, al pasar el puente, está la Plaza la Marina, conocida como el anfiteatro por la forma en la que se ubican los edificios con vista a la plaza. Hay un mural llamado "El pescador" y un monumento en homenaje de los pescadores a los mineros.
Later, past the bridge, is the Plaza la Marina, known as the amphitheater because of the way the buildings are located overlooking the square. There is a mural called "El pescador" and a monument in homage of the fishermen and fisherwomen to the miners.

Al continuar, está la Plaza de San Pedro (patrón de Cudillero), donde está la Iglesia Parroquial de San Pedro, del siglo XVI, de estilo gótico tardío (final del período del arte gótico), ya casi renacentista.
Continuing on, there is St. Peter's Square (St. Peter is Cudillero pattern), where the Parish Church of St. Peter is located, from the 16th century, in late Gothic style (end of the period of Gothic art), now almost Renaissance.
Hay muchas tiendas, supermercado, panadería y sitios para comer. Nosotros nos tomamos dos cervezas en Barlovento (que significa de donde viene el viento).
There are many stores, supermarket, bakery and places to eat. We had two beers in Barlovento (which means where the wind comes from).
En una de las calles subiendo a los edificios, está esta casa indiana abandonada. Los indianos son los españoles que emigraron entre el siglo XIX y pricipios del XX a Cuba y otras partes de América y regresaban con mucho dinero, trajeron una arquitectura que hacía la diferencia entre las otras construcciones.
In one of the streets going up to the buildings, there is this abandoned Indian house. The Indianos are the Spaniards who emigrated between the nineteenth and early twentieth century to Cuba and other parts of America and returned with a lot of money, they brought an architecture that made the difference between the other buildings.

También hay un Club nocturno llamado Noctiluca, por lo que leí, abre en las noches. Así que hasta para bailar y pasar un rato diferente no hace falta salir del pueblo.
There is also a night club called Noctiluca, from what I read, it is open in the evenings. So even to dance and have a different time you don't have to leave town.
Las rutas turísticas están señalizadas, el ancla lleva a los diferentes barrios pesqueros y el pez azul sigue la ronda de los vigías (que se encargan de vigilar un lugar desde un punto apropiado, generalmente situado en alto, para poder avisar en caso de que exista un peligro o amenaza).
The tourist routes are signposted, the anchor leads to the different fishing districts and the blue fish follows the round of the lookouts (who are in charge of watching a place from an appropriate point, generally located high up, to be able to warn in case there is a danger or threat).
Subimos al mirador de la Garita, caminamos por callejones estrechos, casas coloridas y muchas escaleras para llegar.
We went up to the viewpoint of La Garita, walked through narrow alleys, colorful houses and many stairs to get there.
El acceso al faro está cortado por desprendimientos. Aún así, se observa desde el mirador de la Garita y otros puntos.
Access to the lighthouse is cut off due to landslides. Even so, it can be seen from the viewpoint of La Garita and other points.
Al llegar al mirador, cobra mucho sentido el significado de Cudillero: atractivo, tranquilo, hermoso.
Arriving at the viewpoint, the meaning of Cudillero makes a lot of sense: attractive, quiet, beautiful.

Recorrimos casas muy bonitas, cada una con su estilo particular
We toured beautiful houses, each with its own particular style.
Antes de irnos vimos el túnel del Río Piñera, usado antiguamente como lugar de tránsito por los pescadores, mide unos 310 metros de longitud y termina con unas escaleras que dan a las casas en la parte alta de Cudillero.
Before leaving we saw the tunnel of the Piñera River, formerly used as a place of transit by fishermen, it is about 310 meters long and ends with stairs leading to the houses in the upper part of Cudillero.
