A little bit of History // Un poco de Historia

Hay tres formar de llegar a la cima: primer por la vía del funicular, que es un grupo de vagones móviles por un rieles que parte desde la base del cerro hasta la cima atravesando el interior rocoso, con un valor de 5$ permite la subida y la bajada.
Segundo es el teleférico, que otorga la mejor vista de la cuidad en el trayecto a la cima, son dos cabinas ancladas con un línea de un cable grueso de igual forma desde la base hasta la cima con un valor por pasajero de 7.5$ es un paseo agradable y rápido.
Tercero es el sendero peatonal, desde las 7 de la mañana hasta las 1 de la tarde se encuentra abierto la ruta de escaleras, que en para un adulto promedio tardaría una hora y media aproximado de subida a ritmo moderado, es totalmente gratis, existen personas devotas al santo que suben de rodillas para que se le cumpla algún tipo de milagro.

Lo cierto es que el paseo en funicular se puede observar las rocas calizas que se encuentran dentro del cerro, además al llegar a la cima la arquitectura del lugar no muestra un estilo colonial con piedad amarilla barichara, árboles y arbustos verdes brozosos, comenzando el recorrido existen restaurantes muy reconocidos de alta calidad culinaria, además de atención a los visitantes, baños y tiendas, un lugar donde está muy desarrollado el turismo.
El camino comienza con un vía crucis o camina santo de un grupo de estatuas representativos de Jesucristo a la tumba del calvario, (Dato Curioso estas esculturas fueron traídas desde Italia) el camino conduce hasta la iglesia de nuestra señor caído, un templo que venera a Jesús de Nazaret llevando la cruz, alrededor de la iglesia se encuentra puntos de información, tiendas de suvenir, ropa y comida.
Al respaldo del cerro se puede apreciar el valle entre las montañas del departamento de Cundinamarca, algo que me llamo mucho la atención es la cantidad de aves que habitan en el lugar, algo que muchos critican de la ciudad es que no se pueden ver muchas a veces y el impacto de ver lo cuidado que esta el sitio además de la conservación de la fauna y flora es muy agradable para los visitantes.

The road begins with a via crucis or holy walk from a group of statues representing Jesus Christ to the tomb of Calvary, (Curious fact these sculptures were brought from Italy) the road leads to the church of our fallen Lord, a temple that worships Jesus of Nazareth carrying the cross, around the church is information points, souvenir stores, clothing and food.
At the back of the hill you can see the valley between the mountains of the department of Cundinamarca, something that caught my attention is the amount of birds that inhabit the place, something that many criticize the city is that you can not see many sometimes and the impact of seeing how careful the site is in addition to the conservation of fauna and flora is very nice for visitors.

El mito de la separaciones de pareja, un decir de muchos bogotanos, es que si se sube al Monserrate con tu novia, esposa, o amigos, y el amor no es sincero, se termina la relación, a caso personal yo subí con mi pareja y todavía no nos hemos separa y espero que no, lo paradójico es que aunque si no llegasen a subir el cerro con tu pareja de igual manera si el amor no es sincero, lo más lógico es que de igual forma se termine la relación.

Que bonito lugar, con una vista fenomenal. Creo que las tres maneras para subir el cerro son una experiencia unica, hay para todos los gustos. Aunque no se si pudiera subir tantas escaleras.
