I once entered a wilderness area to make a trail around it with my community.
The purpose of this trip is a cross-forest competition program for students who love nature, this is an activity to foster a sense of sympathy for forest conservation for young nature lovers.
This is the Gayo Highlands in the central Aceh province of Indonesia.
This forest is a Forest Area protected by the state and villagers, but illegal logging has occurred at several points which have been converted into deforested forest. For this reason, my friends and I made a program so that the stolen forest area would be of concern to many people.
Most likely this place is the cause of natural disasters when the rainy season arrives.
This image is a silent witness to the greed of irresponsible people, because their behavior can invite natural disasters at any time.
Okay, I will tell you about this trip, an expedition that I really like, besides honing the potential of this trip it also aims to save nature.
The journey is about 5 hours with rocky terrain and thorny valleys, it takes a lot of mentality to enter this area alone but I am not alone, I am with friends of the nature lovers community and some sympathizers who plunge directly into the forest.
As usual, of course, the forest presents a very beautiful sight in the eye. Rare plants and rarely seen birds greeted us wisely, as if asking our help for their habitat.
Using my smartphone camera I try to take pictures of anything that catches my eye.
Beautiful moss, being in this place really makes the mood happy, the cool and cold air accompanies us along the way. Also seen many beautiful mushrooms growing between old trees.
Try to spoil the eye with the beauty of the forest flora and immortalize it with a picture.
On the way, we tried to make paths using simple tools such as machetes and daggers. so that participants do not get lost, we give signs as directions.
There are many thorny plants that make itchy and sore on the skin when exposed, for that we clean the area of the path so that it is safe to pass.
And finally we were looking for a place to rest while enjoying a special warm coffee.
Coffee that I make and process myself makes the atmosphere feel at home. In the middle of the forest, you can feel freedom and serenity at one time, together with friends who care about preserving the forest.
We hope that this activity will become a routine that is carried out every year, and this place becomes a cross-country tour that anyone can visit.
Too many city people are busy with it he forgets the most important thing that must be guarded together.
And too many young people today who can care less about it all.
For that I and my comrades in arms do all this, hopefully motivating the younger generation to care for and protect the forest before the disaster.
I will share the results of this trip in the second post, give me a vote if you like what I do. Thank you for your attention. See you in the next post..!
