The Henry Hotel
"A Special Place"
There's a hotel in Cebu City,Philippines called "The Henry" - my favourite happy place.
My husband and I like to visit The Henry hotel on special occasions such as our birthdays and our wedding anniversary.
THIS IS NOT AN INTENDED ADVERT OF ANY SORT.
IT'S JUST A COZY, UNIQUE PLACE WITH A HOMELY FEELING,
WHICH GIVES US BOTH A GREAT VIBE.
Here's a compilation of pictures to showcase some of the best parts that should give you a feel of it's awesomeness, and I've created some fictitious scenarios with "Henry", a fictitious character, named after the Hotel.

Like no other...
The Henry has approximately 50 rooms & suites and each room is individually decorated with themed wall murals. The hotel decor is a blend of "European, industrial and rustic chic," and their interior designer truly maximises the idea of up-cycling and finds innovative and unique ways of adding character. I also admire that they support local talent by using a Cebuano Artist, Mark Luzon for their murals.
There are about 5 categories of rooms, with varying sizes from 36 sqm to 108 sqm (get what I mean), all very quirky and tastefully decorated. You never know what the theme of your room will be, and I like the mystery of it all.
When the elevator stops, like curious, fascinated kids, we walk through the hallway, gawking at artwork and charming collective pieces, before eagerly inserting the room key to see what awaits us - it's always a pleasant surprise.

The hotel is a 3 hour drive from my rural village (Moalboal - Cebu City). Therefore, we like to take advantage of various cuisines of restaurants in Cebu City, which gives me a chance to do a little bit of "dressing up" compared to my normal casual laidback attire in my backpacking resort town.
Strangely, I always coincidentally pack random clothes from my personal closet, that matches the decor of the randomly selected room, from whichever category we book. I call it my "good luck omen".

We're always so contented at the Henry and we always fantasize that it's our home.

In fact, PERFECT!
"Henry" cares about the environment too. He implements different conservation strategies and leaves little notes to educate guests about reusing towels that are not too dirty, and reducing water consumption during cleansing and grooming.

Everyone has different taste, but "Henry's" quirky attire (decor), little fixtures, and attention to details, gels nicely with my personality and style.
I think The Henry is amazing! Great concept and "Henry" has wonderful "minions" who remembers and calls us by name.

Congrats on the Top Feature 😀 Henry Hotel in Cebu City looks quirky and fun. Would love to try staying there one day. It's also interesting to see how different the hotel design concept is from The Henry in Manila.

It really is my fav place. I'm sorry I lost the photos of the very first room we stayed in. It was an absolute wow. It was from the XL category and I just wanted to live in it. Cameron though the only thing that was missing was an elevator for him to push a button and have a Harley motorbike appear. It just had that fantasy feel about it. The fire extinguishers just seem to blend and add character to each room too:)
There's one in Dumaguette that we'd like to visit.
I like it that they have a different boutique look for every property. Henry patrons have always something to look forward to in every destination.
