Agua fluyendo a través de espectaculares paisajes es lo que más abunda en La Gran Sabana, motivo por el que la gente visita esta región del sur de Venezuela, y después de haber ido a la Quebrada de Jaspe, como les mostré en la publicación anterior, ahora era el turno de sumergirnos en el Balneario de Soroape o Sarowapo.
Before that we made a stop at a viewpoint from where you could see the Chirikayen tepui and beautiful panoramic views of the savannah.
Antes de eso hicimos una parada en un mirador desde donde se podía observar el tepuy Chirikayen y hermosas vistas panorámicas de la sabana.
Around there was also what is known as "Valey of the Bonsai", an area full of some bushes that are like small trees.

We continue rolling along the Troncal 10 highway to go to San Francisco de Yuruaní or Kumarakapay, a settlement of the Pemón indigenous people where we unload our things (backpacks, tents, etc.) from the Toyota trucks and leave them in a camping area, since that night and the next we were going to sleep there.
Seguimos rodando por la carretera Troncal 10 para ir hasta San Francisco de Yuruaní o Kumarakapay, un asentamiento de los indígenas pemón en donde bajamos nuestras cosas (mochilas, carpas, etc) de las camionetas Toyota y las dejamos en un área de camping, ya que esa noche íbamos a dormir allí.
This town offers several services to travelers, such as restaurants, bathrooms, inn, craft stalls and grocery stores.

On the wall of one of the craft stalls I saw this short dictionary of some expressions in the Pemón language translated into Spanish, I loved it, so I took a picture of it to have them.

Now yes, we were ready to go to the Soroape or Sarowapo Spa, we got there around 4:00 in the afternoon and the landscape seemed mind-blowing to me.

Here there are a lot of small wells and wide natural pools formed along the river among the stones of various sizes and shapes.

It is a very visited place because the water here is a little less cold than in other parts of La Gran Sabana, it also has services such as a restaurant, bathrooms and a place to camp.

I left my things on a stone, where my sister kept an eye on them since she didn't want to take a bath, I took off my socks and into the water! The temperature of the water was really very pleasant, it wasn't freezing like in other rivers around here.

The sun wasn't strong either because it was already going down, so we took advantage of the time to take photos with that light.

You can walk on the stones down the river (with socks so as not to slip) to reach a long rocky part that is like a slide and have some fun or just take a dip in each well that provokes you around there.
Puedes caminar por las piedras río abajo (con medias para no resbalarte) para llegar a una parte rocosa larga que es como un tobogán y divertirte un rato o simplemente darte chapuzones en cada pozo que te provoque por ahí.
The farther you go, the fewer people there are, most of them stay in the first part of the spa, that's why in the absence of a photographer, my sister and I used a rock as a support for the camera to take a photo together in automatic mode.
Mientras más te alejas menos gente hay, la mayoría se queda en la primera parte del balneario, por eso a falta de fotógrafo mi hermana y yo usamos una piedra como soporte de la cámara para tomarnos en modo automático una foto juntas.
We were enjoying the Soroape spa for about two and a half hours until the guide told us that we should leave because it was going to start getting dark.
Estuvimos disfrutando en el balneario de Soroape unas dos horas y media hasta que el guía nos avisó que ya debíamos irnos porque iba a empezar a anochecer.
On the road we could see the beautiful Roraima tepuy in the distance, the most famous plateau-type mountain in La Gran Sabana, then we arrived at San Francisco de Yuruaní, we set up our tents, cooked dinner and stayed up late talking with the people of the group.
En la carretera pudimos observar a lo lejos el bellísimo Roraima tepuy, la montaña tipo meseta más famosa de La Gran Sabana, luego llegamos a San Francisco de Yuruaní, armamos nuestras carpas, cocinamos la cena y nos quedamos conversando hasta tarde con la gente del grupo.

Ese sitio está genial, me gusta que en algunas partes no sea tan poblado para así disfrutar con mayor tranquilidad del sitio, a veces mucha gente arruina la conexión con la naturaleza que se puede experimentar en esos sitios, está bonito me alegra poder saber de ti gracias a qué pasaste por mi blog, me gusta seguir a gente que viaja también, ojalá pudiese ir a ese lugar algún día!
