Bye bye Buenos Aires, see you soon

Organizing the last day in the city of Fury was very difficult, to please everyone's wishes was impossible but we made the attempt. After breakfast with some friends we went to visit the most iconic place in the city: La Casa Rosada, without a doubt its particular color attracts a lot of attention as well as its large size, but it was not precisely the government house that captivated me the most but the monuments that are right in front of it.

The Casa Rosada is located at one end of the Plaza de Mayo, a place with a historical emotional charge; there is also a statue of General Belgrano in whose base they placed hundreds of rocks with names of those who died during the pandemic, being there before that scenario, under the huge blue sky and with the sound of drums of a protest in the background, just reminded me of what I have been repeating for months: Life is only a little while, you have to live it.

And with that thought in mind, we set off to get to know a part of the city that connects you with enjoyment, Puerto Madero, a very modern area that combines architecture with nature, gastronomy and entertainment. It has a wide pedestrian promenade along the Rio de la Plata, it is difficult to stop looking towards the river, especially because as you walk you get closer to the impressive Puente de la Mujer, a spectacular work of Santiago Calatrava, an architect I have admired for many years. It is a very nice place to spend the afternoon, drink and eat something delicious while enjoying the view.

Checking the map we realized that we were quite close to the Kirchner Cultural Center (CCK) and we did not hesitate to book some tickets and go to see the exhibitions they were showing, my favorite was the one of Maitena a cartoonist showing her creative process, very interesting. The CCK building is impressive but even more impressive is a giant sculpture donated by the state of Bolivia to Argentina called Monumento a Juana Azurduy, it is located in front of the entrance in the beautiful Plaza del Correo.

To end our stay in the city we went to the great obelisk, and there with all the noise of traffic, the lights of the fences and all the hustle and bustle of people we said goodbye to the city of fury. I barely know you and I already feel that I love you, bye bye Buenos Aires, see you soon.
