Street art in a recent visit to Berlin, would you want this in your city?

Introduction

We have not used Pinmaple much but know it is very cool so thought would do a few posts about our recent visit to Berlin, I think this is the code for the location [//]:# (!pinmapple 52.53286 lat 13.36293 long d3scr)

We have been to Berlin before but this time I wanted to look at some of the street art specifically in Berlin. In Brighton there is lots of street art everywhere and I love finding little hidden gems around the back streets in Brighton, it really is everywhere. Having been to Berlin before I wanted to look at some of the art on the walls and see what the artists were doing. We were not there long so here is a few pictures.

Art

Is this this the Berlin Kid?

IMG_2550.JPG

Now this was very intriguing, look at the keyboard which is a 3d model of some kind, what is this and why? there were a few more examples of these around.

IMG_2551.JPG

Again this is like a 3D burger that does not relate to the shop.

IMG_2557.JPG

The dedication to get some high quality art on these flats.

IMG_2560.JPG

The art is everywhere...

IMG_2561.JPG

Again this is impressive, I love this. the @oneup-cartel tag is everywhere, @flauwy might be able to tell me more about this?

IMG_2547.JPG

I dont speak German so sometimes I was wondering what the words say?

IMG_2549.JPG

Really cool art of animals on this one

IMG_2552.JPG

Tags are everywhere and err not so nice, however in the middle of this one a little picture saying "I am some art" sums it all up.

IMG_2555.JPG

Again more 3D shapes randomly attached to the wall? any suggestions?

IMG_2556.JPG

Loved this style and vibe.

IMG_2562.JPG

The Berlin kid again?

IMG_2563.JPG

Very cool piece this had to take a pic.

IMG_2564.JPG

You can just see the scale of the art work everywhere on this pic.

IMG_2565.JPG

I loved the way they decorate their doors and things.

IMG_2567.JPG

This is very cool, we have Cassette boy in Brighton that decorates these electrical/phone box things.

IMG_2568.JPG

Few more ....

IMG_2569.JPG

Again here you can see how much art there is everywhere

IMG_2572.JPG

the 1UP dedication to tags...

IMG_2573.JPG

Some art by the river

IMG_2576.JPG

Another 3D thing stuck on, a very cool Rubiks cube!

IMG_2554.JPG

More shutter decoration....better than grey shutters for sure.

IMG_2558.JPG

This has the general vibe all over it....

IMG_2566.JPG

This is where we were looking at art...

IMG_2575.JPG

It was a great morning we had looking at different pieces and sauntering around the streets on a sunny day....might have had a cocktail or two for lunch after this and things went down hill....however we love Berlin and love the street art we saw there.

Big up Berlin and all the Germans

aww thank you appreciate it! it is funny as we love to travel but since covid times this is the first time we been out of UK!

Nice pics! The 1UP crew is one of the most notorious graffiti crews in Berlin and all over Germany. A lot of their artists are anonymous and they have done some pretty bad ass or straight out crazy stuff. Most if it is considered illegal…
Like this wholecar in a subway station.

Ahh that is kind of what I thought but I did not know how big they were! Love the whole subway station lol

I believe that graffiti art is an area that deserves respect. During my early school days, I had a special notebook where I would try to create graffiti with colored pencils. Although my enthusiasm for it didn't last long, I'm not sure why I didn't continue and further develop my skills. However, it remains one of those things in the back of my mind, and that's why whenever I come across impressive graffiti, my eyes never fail to catch it. Thanks to you, I had the chance to see the artful graffiti on the streets of Berlin, and for that, you deserve a thanks!

Especially, I really admired the 3d keyboard and animal drawings. They were captivating. Wishing you delightful days ahead.

Nice one bro! No idea what the 3D things were all about but they were cool

I love art, but I can't do it because I have no skills in drawing. I remember my childhood. In school, I am the one who represents our section in a contest, thankfully I finished it and received an award, but now I forgot how to draw.

Never too late to go back to try some art again!

I love street art, if it's really art and done properly to make an area look cooler. Like here in Spain, loads of abandoned buildings are filled with street art and are absolute gems to that building and the area.

I have to say there are a few very cool ones in this post but I admit that I'd be pissed if my home would be ruined like some of the other "artists" have done to the buildings shared above. I think a lot of graffiti is shown above, while street art (as far as I know) is often commissioned and therefore done by someone who knows what he's doing, I guess.

Not 100% sure about this though I think that's what I read somewhere in the past when looking up the difference. Those graffiti creators also often ruin the absolutely amazing street art sometimes, I've seen it in Budapest and here in Spain as well. Which takes away from the whole idea of improving some areas through art.

!PIMP

ye I think it is a shame when they scribble all over some great pieces! In Brighton they seem to be a bit more respectful

That's great as there are tons of other places to use for their own pieces. We arrived here last year and while having the daily beach walks, we actually saw two artists create a big piece from start to end, pretty cool. I still have to share them I think (lol).

You must be killin' it out here!
@thisismylife just slapped you with 1.000 PIMP, @stickupboys.
You earned 1.000 PIMP for the strong hand.
They're getting a workout and slapped 1/3 possible people today.

I really love street art. Seeing all those colourful paintings on the wall, really artsy and full of creativity. Some of those writings are amusing but the others are a bit annoying.

Anyways, I don't know what I'd do if I had to witness so much art all around. It's a really beautiful place.

yes it is very vibrant, I love it! Love Berlin overall very cool city

I LOVE IT !
And i love street art and so much i want to share too ..!
It is everywhere 🧡

I don;t mind the street art. I just don't like the gang art, or art that doesn't make sense. I even enjoy nice street graffiti. It just has to look like art work.

ye we are with you on that

I always love street art even though some of them did not really find them as an art and recognize them as a vandalism still this is how the people expresses their true feelings!

It is a fine line between the two, but there is obviously a real culture for this.

Nice collection of street art. I like the most of them. Some are of very low quality. Nice you liked your visit in Berlin. Haven't been there for a visit for four years. Only had a very quick business trip to the outskirts two years ago.

!ALIVE

There is a lot of street art in Berlin, possibily too much at times! I saw even many of the trains were also fully decorated.

Yes it really is everywhere....some of it is excellent and some is err messy!

Exactly such things become more beautiful when they are built inside the streets and here in Pakistan too many such things are built by people standing up which adds to the beauty of the place.
