Reigniting My Wanderlust For Thailand

Nostalgia Triggered by a Culinary Event

"Do you miss Bangkok and the rest of Thailand?" my gorgeous date asked me as we were slurping the sweet, sour, and spicy Tom Yum Goong (Spicy Shrimp Soup), a bestselling Thai dish that was oozing with aromatic flavors on our dining table. "Wow, that was super delicious!" I answered while nodding my head repeatedly at her.

Not too long ago (pre-Covid days), I was invited, out of the blue, by a beloved friend of mine to join her for a casual reconnection over lunch. We haven't socialized for a couple of years, so it was simply the ideal occasion for both of us to update each other about our lives. We decided to meet in a local shopping mall and ended up in one of the popular Thai restaurants there.

Since we were both fond of the burning sensations this particular type of cuisine brought to our taste buds, we immediately ordered some of the traditional Thai favorites on the menu like Pad Thai (Thai style Fried Noodles), Tom Kha Kai (Chicken in Coconut Soup), Pad Krapow Moo Saap (Fried Basil and Pork), Khao Pad (Fried Rice), including the popular soup mentioned earlier.

It was definitely a food fest! No need to rush, no other appointments, so we had the entire afternoon to ourselves. Plus with all the yummy treats at our fingertips, who couldn't resist? And while we were busy stuffing our hungry tummies with mouthwatering appetizers, main courses, and dessert, we also exchanged tales, jokes, and just...a bit of gossip, lol. All of a sudden, as I was slowly savoring every single bite, crunch, and sip, my unforgettable adventures of Thailand were bouncing back and forth inside my head. Unceasing fireworks of celebrated memories were exploding here and there - I merely couldn't wait to share them with my companion. Believe it or not, it was a magical reminiscence!

Virtual Showcase of Travel Experiences

"Because you've been to Thailand a few times already, would it be possible to show me some tourist attractions and other interesting spots that you'd suggest for new visitors? See, I'm planning a trip there in 5 months with my family, so your useful suggestions would really help me," she requested as I grabbed my iPad out of my bag.

THAI 04.jpg

"Of course, my dear buddy, it's always an immense pleasure! Let me browse through these photos one by one while I talk to you about them, alright then?" With a huge grin on her face, she agreed, shifted her chair next to mine, and immediately directed her eyes towards the digital screen in front of us. The succeeding content of images, impressions, and narratives covering my Thailand escapades during my younger days was the meat of our conversations for the rest of that afternoon. So, here we go…

SUVARNABHUMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. My portal of entry to the country of Thailand was through its capital city of Bangkok specifically their largest transportation terminal for flights. The term Suvarnabhumi is Sanskrit that means "Land of Gold".

THAI 05.jpg

It's one of the most modern aviation terminals I've seen. The moment I arrived, my eyes were focused on the fascinating cantilevered roofs with their wavelike patterns that appeared to be floating above the concourse. Massive skylights were also installed that served to illuminate the interiors with natural daylight and provided clear views of the natural surroundings and cityscapes.

THAI 06.jpg

This particular airport is currently the hub for the following airline companies: Thai Airways International, Thai Smile Airways, Bangkok Airways as well Thai Vietjet Air. Being the busiest airport in the nation, it caters to international and domestic passengers plus handles cargo of all sizes for various flights during the year.

THAI 07.jpg

THAI 08.jpg

THAI 09.jpg

I'm not sure how true this is, but it has been said that this airport project was constructed over an old cemetery. Some building workers on the site swore to have witnessed ghosts from a discovered graveyard. As interesting as this story may seem, the hairs on my arms suddenly stood up and sent a chilling silence to both of us that instant.

THAI 10.jpg

THAI 11.jpg

THAI 12.jpg

THAI 13.jpg

The airport's interior expanse was filled with impressive visuals, remarkable features as well as cultural artworks that captivated the senses. I took the chance by capturing lots of pictures of these pleasing elements. Amazing, right?

PATPONG NIGHT BAZAAR. Since we arrived during the evening, it was simply automatic to proceed to one of Bangkok's famous night markets, as strongly advised by our tour guides. Hence, from the hotel, we commuted on the most convenient mode of public transportation known locally as the Tuk Tuk, a 3-wheeled vehicle to explore the metropolis. With its open-air carriage, the chilly breeze caressed my face as we traversed through its busy thoroughfares.

THAI 14.jpg

THAI 15.jpg

Did you know that Patpong is the city's oldest red-light district? Aside from the shopping experience, you'll be enticed by the go-go clubs, beer bars, and live shows situated alongside the numerous merchandise on sale. Out of curiosity, I was lured into one of their entertainment establishments to enjoy what was in store there. After quenching myself with an ice-cold bottle of Heineken, I was surely pumped up and ready - not to check out the beautiful girls - but rather, to continue with my retail therapy on the roads outside. Hmmm, what were you thinking, huh? haha.

THAI 16.jpg

THAI 17.jpg

There was an assortment of items displayed on the outdoor stalls. Just name it - you can find almost anything there. From clothes, bags, furniture, watches, shoes, fabrics, hats, knick-knacks, belts, jewelry, upholstery, artworks, gadgets, this thriving location was truly a wealthy haven for shoppers. I purchased plenty of souvenirs that evening, especially the hand-made bags that never failed to attract me - almost filed for bankruptcy, lol.

THAI 18.jpg

THAI 19.jpg

Aside from the vast amount of commodities at your buying pleasure, local delicacies were likewise abundant, especially the street food variety. I nibbled some of their delicious Thai snacks, drank their refreshing fruit juices until I bumped into this sidewalk stall with a peculiar product.

"Do you recognize this stuff? Have you seen something like this before?" I asked my date while using my fingers to zoom in on the digital image.

"OMG! Yuck! Are those cooked insects and fried worms? I can't believe what I'm seeing here as I had the impression that they were only rumors. They're real after all and heard that they're surprisingly yummy! So, did you eat some?" She uttered as her eyes continued to bulge with one hand covering her mouth in disbelief.

THAI 20.jpg

THAI 21.jpg

THAI 22.jpg

I answered yes, but didn't elaborate on the details further since it was already obvious that she was disgusted. Swiping the iPad's screen to the left, we proceeded to the next photograph right away.

GRAND PALACE. It was a sunny day the following morning, and our hired Tuk Tuk was already stationed at the hotel entrance, waiting to transport us to our next destination. We were heading towards a spectacular complex of buildings situated at the heart of Bangkok.

THAI 23.jpg

THAI 24.jpg

THAI 25.jpg

The Grand Palace has been the official home of the Kings of Siam (currently Thailand) since 1782. This royal estate consisted of not just one structure, but rather, was composed of several edifices, temples, lawns, pavilions, courtyards, and halls.

THAI 26.jpg

THAI 27.jpg

THAI 28.jpg

For a newbie like me during that time, you'd most probably get lost in the maze of landmarks within this complex. We were grateful that our friendly tour guides were always there to point us in the correct direction. No worries, the journey inside proceeded smoothly as we were in good hands.

THAI 29.jpg

THAI 30.jpg

THAI 31.jpg

THAI 32.jpg

Because I've already traveled to Cambodia, particularly in the city of Siem Reap, the scaled model of Angkor Wat was a familiar sight. With its distinctive towers, I moved closer to investigate more of the intricate presentation.

THAI 33.jpg

If you're a keen observer, you'll notice that the architecture of the Grand Palace is characterized by the Eclectic Style. Why? The presence of asymmetrically built environments was due to their organic progress consisting of additions, renovations, and modifications contributed by successive Thai monarchs ruling over a span of 200 years. Isn't that interesting?

THAI 34.jpg

THAI 35.jpg

THAI 36.jpg

THAI 37.jpg

THAI 38.jpg

THAI 39.jpg

THAI 40.jpg

This highly esteemed residence of royalty is partially opened to locals, tourists, and foreign visitors who wish to learn more and be amazed by this heritage site. Though it's accessible for the public, the royal offices are still fully operational in their working duties.

DINNER RIVER CRUISE. One of the most romantic experiences I've tried was sailing along the Chao Phraya River at night while enjoying a scrumptious meal. After spending the whole day at the Grand Palace, this was a promising way to relax, unwind, and recharge for the evening.

THAI 41.jpg

THAI 42.jpg

THAI 43.jpg

THAI 44.jpg

While inside the enormous boat, we were serenaded by their local musicians, entertained by their cultural shows, and served authentic Thai dishes. No wonder I fell in love with their traditions.

FLOATING MARKETS. The next day felt like landing in an alien world the moment I reached one of Bangkok's floating markets. Other countries have their own versions of floating markets, but nothing compares to Thailand's originality, creativity, and local flavor. It's for these basic reasons that these special tourist attractions have become global celebrities.

THAI 45.jpg

THAI 46.jpg

Even the boat ride going to the destination was a thrilling adventure in itself! We had to board these extremely slim canoes and pass through narrow canals with roaring waves of muddy water to reach this exotic trading place. Because of the murky aquatic habitat, I firmly gripped the boat's edges as we sped through the waterways, hoping that no weird organism or wild animal would suddenly creep towards us and reveal its face on the surface. Indeed, my wild imaginations were killing me!

THAI 47.jpg

THAI 48.jpg

THAI 49.jpg

Anyway, as soon as we arrived among the crammed streams of boats filled with vendors selling their abundance of food, wares, and goods, our fears were laid to rest. Time to shop, rest, and eat again. We had our lunch there before proceeding to our next exciting destination.

COBRA SHOW. Perhaps I was joking when I said that our next stop was exciting. It was definitely not! In fact, it was more frightening than something that would make you eager. See, we were going to experience snakes - lots of them! Fortunately, these poisonous creatures were caged well and tamed properly by their professional handlers. Never have I seen cobras swaying their long bodies so elegantly with the background music.

THAI 50.jpg

THAI 51.jpg

The assigned trainers even exhibited the dangerous extraction of venom from one of the snakes. Would you dare to be up close and personal while this was being done? As enchanting as the cobra show was, the activity was still quite risky. I remember watching YouTube videos sharing incidents about tourists being bitten by these snakes. Thus, be extra careful if you plan to visit such hazardous places in the future.

ELEPHANT ZOO AND PARK. Who doesn't love elephants? I was in for another fantastic treat. This was the first time I've seen our planet's largest land mammals dance like human beings! And I never thought it was even possible. My jaw dropped immediately while my posture stiffened when those moments occurred. Unbelievable!

THAI 52.jpg

THAI 53.jpg

There was also a small cultural village incorporated within that location where they entertained tourists with the various traditions, lifestyles, and practices of Thailand. I was extremely moved by their awesome performance that I didn't hesitate to mark the occasion by capturing memorable pictures with these adorable people.

THAI 54.jpg

THAI 55.jpg

And I certainly didn't also miss the opportunity to be with our friendly animals. Since this was a rare chance of a lifetime for me to be with them in the flesh, I braved the elephant ride plus had the courage to pose for a photograph with a live one.

THAI 56.jpg

THAI 57.jpg

"Aren't we cute?" I asked my companion.

"Oh, wow! How wonderful for those elephants to be at home with different people. It must have taken many years for the caretakers to patiently train them to be accustomed to human beings, right? I'll definitely try that amazing experience when I get there," she replied.

BANG PA-IN ROYAL PALACE. What, another palace?! I was truly flabbergasted. This renowned property was also called the "Summer Palace" and was one of the former residences used by the Thai kings. The original estate was built in 1632 and it was abandoned for decades from the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

THAI 58.jpg

THAI 59.jpg

THAI 60.jpg

THAI 61.jpg

THAI 62.jpg

The Bang Pa-In Royal Palace was later restored in the mid-19th century. Within the vast complex were lush gardens, palaces, towers, residences, pavilions, and a reflecting pond.

THAI 63.jpg

THAI 64.jpg

THAI 65.jpg

THAI 66.jpg

THAI 67.jpg

THAI 68.jpg

THAI 69.jpg

The entire royal estate was simply stunning! It was obviously well-maintained, being apparent in its cleanliness, thriving natural ecosystems, and lively surroundings. I was specifically astonished by the mirroring effect of the small lake on the nearby buildings. Its serene atmosphere transformed it into the perfect spot to meditate!

HISTORIC CITY OF AYUTTHAYA. Another Thai destination of historical significance was the ruins of the ancient city of Ayutthaya. This heritage site was one of the former capitals of Thailand before it was abandoned. Since its founding in 1350, this strategic location was believed to be much older according to archaeological evidence discovered on the site.

THAI 70.jpg

THAI 71.jpg

THAI 72.jpg

THAI 73.jpg

Since this historic location also housed several temples, police and similar guards were also stationed in various points to ensure that the religious artifacts, relics, and statues were not desecrated by, vandals, robbers, and abusive visitors. During my exploration, I saw to it that I followed religious norms, respected their laws, and maintained a friendly approach to the locals there.

THAI 74.jpg

THAI 75.jpg

THAI 76.jpg

THAI 77.jpg

THAI 78.jpg

Since the old city was attacked by the Burmese army in 1767, it was never rebuilt. Today, Ayutthaya remains a protected landmark and was also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

CHAO PHRAYA RIVER CRUISE. We were back to this famous river in Bangkok. But this time, it was a day cruise. In this yacht, you will have the opportunity to be fascinated by the city's exquisite architecture, coastal neighborhoods, towering bridges, and life on the river.

THAI 79.jpg

THAI 80.jpg

THAI 81.jpg

THAI 82.jpg

THAI 83.jpg

THAI 84.jpg

I decided to stay at the outdoor deck to bathe myself in natural sunlight plus had the chance to create new friendships and mingle with other tourists and foreigners during the journey. We were fortunate to have favorable weather during that day until the entire cruise was completed.

BANGKOK CITY TOUR. Just like other highly urbanized cities around the world, Bangkok is a thriving metropolis. Depending on your fancy, there were several things to do like merely sightseeing, shopping at their massive malls, strolling in their city parks, dining in their restaurants, visiting their temples, or passing the time by immersing yourself in their places of great interest.

THAI 85.jpg

THAI 86.jpg

Bangkok's transportation network was modern and highly developed to accommodate discerning travelers from all walks of life. From taxis, buses, cars, and their train network, it's quite easy to get around the metropolis. If it's your first time there and find it overwhelming, you can always ask the help of the warm-natured locals who are ready to assist you with your needs.

THAI 87.jpg

THAI 88.jpg

THAI 89.jpg

Most importantly, the best practical method for commuting around the metropolis of Bangkok is via a Tuk Tuk. In my experience, this is also the most convenient, practical, and budget-friendly alternative. Thus, what are you waiting for?

Future Visit to "Amazing Thailand"

"I'm impressed! You've been to many spectacular places in Thailand already, but most of the destinations you've explored were in Bangkok. I felt like traveling to the actual place during your detailed discussion and everything you've shown me here - this has even made me more excited that I can't wait to book my flight and accommodation. I'll definitely inform you as soon as we've finalized our travel itineraries for Thailand," she remarked.

"Hey Erne, you've been an excellent storyteller! And I couldn't be more grateful for your precious time, effort, and especially for agreeing to meet me for lunch today. Until next time, okay?" My female friend suddenly wiped her flowing tears, composed herself, and then looked at me with a big smile.

"Your friendship means a lot to me. And I'll do anything to make you happy!" We finally gave each other a tight embrace, kisses on the cheeks, bid farewell, and walked on our separate ways.

This reminded me of one of my last pre Covid trips to Thailand for the SteemHiveFest in Nov 2019. Those were the good days.

You had a photo of a 🐍 😭 😢

Indeed. I've heard about that memorable and fun experience. It must have been a joyous occasion. Wish we (the Hive) could organize something like that again in the near future - meeting each other face to face. Covid has surely hampered our social interactions in the physical world. Yet, I'm hoping better days are up ahead.

I'm pretty sure you're terrified of snakes, aren't you? There were even gigantic pythons during my visit there, and I actually carried a massive one over my shoulders. Just didn't share those photos or else people might get hysterical, lol 🤣

I have been to Thailand 3 times and I know how it feels being in Thailand. The culture, food everything gives mesmerizing experiences. Tom-Yum soup is my favorite, whenever I get a chance I order it here though the flavor is so different than the culinary and original one from Thailand.

SUVARNABHUMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT is one of the beautiful airports I have ever seen after the Singapore Changi Airport. I used to spend most of my time in duty-free shops haha... The floating market is beautiful and I remember one of my Thai friends had asked me to experience the sky train ride in Bangkok. I am glad that I kept her words. I love Phuket City a lot, fall in love with the city.

If I get the chance, I will visit Thailand again...

Great tour Erne and Thanks for helping to refresh my memory by giving us this tour...

Hello Priyan @priyanarc. How delighted I am to know that you've been to Thailand as well. It's easier for us to relate to each other about our awesome experiences there. The food, shopping, attractions, the modes of transportation, the locals, and of course, the airport architecture plus the remarkable built-environments of the place all added up to the mesmerizing experience!

I'd easily say YES when asked if I'd visit Thailand again. Not only is the country filled with enjoyable activities for tourists, but also, the prices of their products and services are reasonably affordable. Truly glad to have reminded you of your wonderful memories there. Thanks so much for your time.

Completely agree with you, I used to spend most of the time in Siam Paragon and MBK market... Can't forget those days...

Oh yes, the popular places you've mentioned are shoppers' paradise. I've been to those shopping malls too and had my crazy fill of Thai souvenirs. Who knows? We might bump into each other in Thailand one of these days? haha. 😁

Who can predict the future right!! :D anything is possible, would love to take a coffee with you if we meet :D. Siam Paragon has some really good shops, hahaha, those days I can't forget :D

You're right. As unpredictable as the future may seem, meeting over coffee is definitely a brilliant idea. And I'd gladly accept your invitation. Looking forward to those moments someday. Have a great week. 😀

It's such a bummer that the days of easy travel seem to be behind us for the foreseeable future...

Beautiful photos!

Exactly! If not for the pandemic, we should have been out and about our planet nowadays. Yet, I'm also optimistic that the good old days of travel will reappear soon. It's just a matter of time when risky global issues would be sorted out. Thanks a lot for experiencing my publication! 😊

Hello @leanpoqui. Thank you for your comment. But, would appreciate it also if you would show me its English language translation. 😀

I am a person who loves Thai food, especially spicy hot pot. The pandemic situation has made it impossible for me to come back here, hope it will be better next year, very good article thanks for sharing it.

Hello @whynotcamp. Thailand is, without a doubt, one of the best countries I've ever experienced in my lifetime. And I'm truly happy to share my joy on the Hive and with the world. Can't wait for everything to be better soon, so we can once again savor the adventures of traveling.

How beautiful, The pictures are mesmerising and so is your experience to Thailand. The Thai culture is worth appreciating, They are really sweet people. The picture of snake was terrifying yet amazing. All the fun moments captured by you are worth recalling and smiling. I would love to travel to Thailand, It was like twice my trip got cancelled last year, due to covid and another one due to a project which got shelved. Although I am planning a trip within couple of months and your blog will serve as beautiful itinerary.
Hope you have a great day and keep sharing your wonderful experiences dear @storiesoferne.

Hello dear Sahiba @sahiba-rana. I'm sorry to hear about your trip cancellations for Thailand. Perhaps there was a good reason for that, which you might discover later on. I strongly encourage you to visit that country whenever you get the opportunity. And I promise that you won't regret the beautiful experiences there, the same way I've truly enjoyed mine. The wild animals like the snakes are just a small portion of the entire Thai adventure. We hope and pray that the pandemic would finally be resolved at the soonest possible time to allow freedom in our travel itineraries. Feel free to consult this post for future reference. Thank you so much for immersing yourself in my publication! Have an awesome week and take care always. 😊

I would surely visit there and we all hope the pandemic should over soon and world start functioning at its full capacity again.
Have a blessed day ahead.

Absolutely. I believe that traveling is one of the most valuable activities that enhances a person's growth and development. It contributes to our learning journey, opens up our horizons, and boosts our character. Let's work hand in hand towards a better future where our individual freedoms are not blocked by a global health crisis. Rest assured, everything will improve asap. God bless you too! 😊

A lot of familiar scenes there. I was in Bangkok 15 years but moved to Jomtien about 14 months back. I do still come up for the odd meeting and weekend with friends but always nice to see it in such an array of photos. Thanks for sharing.

Hello @stbangkok. It's a great privilege indeed to welcome your personal experiences as a resident (Expat) of Thailand. Aside from Bangkok, I'm pretty sure you've already been to the other places mentioned in this post. Your current location of Jomtien is a gorgeous beach town. Oh, I'd also love to live by the seacoast!

Are there other uncommon Thai destinations that you'd highly suggest for newcomers?

Hey there @storiesoferne ... where do i start. So many uncommon destinations of note. Right up north there i8s Mae Sot. On the west coast the main provincial city of Prachuab Khiri Khan itself, often overlooked in favour of the usual haunts of Hua Hin and Cha Am. I also loved Koh Kood, which while an island, is the lesser known of all of them aned certainly the least visited. I also love Chantaburi province and indeed write about Namtok Phlio National Park there. It gets the most rainfall of all provinces and is also the most green and lush.

Oh, that's amazing @stbangkok! There are definitely still lots of beautiful spots in Thailand that are waiting to be discovered. I've not even heard about those places you've mentioned. See, I'm the type of traveler who seldom prefers to explore the non-touristic places of a country because I think they're where the real adventures are. Will surely take note of your interesting recommendations. Thank you so much for your time. 😊

Most welcome matey. Looking forward to seeing the pictures and reading all about it.

The elephant part seems the most unique thing one can experience, I am not so sure about the fried insects experience lol.

Hahaha. 😁 Because Thailand has so many favorable options to choose from in terms of travel experiences, I'd say it's one of the most flexible, affordable, and tourist-friendly destinations in the world. My friends even had thrilling encounters with real tigers there - playing with these animals up close and personal. Scary, isn't it? Thus, there's still a lot to see there, and I can't wait to revisit that country soon. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. 😊

What a beautiful story and amazing photography! Just looking at that yummy Thai food makes my mouth water. What an amazing trip! Upvoted and rehived.

Friendly greetings @thethreehugs. Thank you so much for your sincere compliment, and valuable support. Authentic Thai food will forever remain one of my favorite dishes. And I'm glad it has captivated your taste buds as well. Cheers! 😀

I really like thailand, both the food and the scenery are great. Hope to have the opportunity to visit Thailand in the future

Hello @kimloan, nice to meet you. Oh yes, you'll surely love Thailand because it's one of the most tourist-friendly nations in Asia and the world. Thank you for visiting my publication. Best wishes. 😊

yes, nice to know you too @storiesoferne. 🙂

Grateful for knowing you as well @kimloan. See you around. 😊

Damn that food 🍱 looked awesome, with the exception of the insects…. Not down for that.

Oh yeah, Thai food (except the insects) is simply terrific! With all sorts of herbs, spices, and ingredients overflowing with delicious flavors in their traditional recipes, you're in for a culinary feast. But, if you still dare and try their exotic delicacies, there's no harm in experimenting. Thanks for visiting my post! 😀

Sure and I'll be back!

untitled.gif

Oh, cool. Thanks man! 😊

Hello Erne, it gave me great pleasure to read your post and see the photographs that you give us from Thailand. I had in mind to visit the Asian continent after more than 30 years of work as a university professor, for this I had saved my social benefits that became salt and water when the "Bolivarian Revolution" arrived. Today, my spirit has been filled with joy to be able to see the enchanting places that you present us and that unfortunately I will not be able to visit, unless a miracle occurs. I congratulate you and I hope you continue to enrich us with your writings.

Hello dear friend Benjamin @besamu. It's never too late to enjoy traveling, especially to a nation like Thailand. As the saying goes, "If there's a will, there's a way". And if you're planning to travel to Asia, as part of your retirement journey in the near future, this country would definitely be one of your most affordable options. I truly appreciate your time in browsing through my publication and being fascinated by its photos. Hopefully, this travel story would provide you with a basic idea of what to expect in case your dream of visiting Thailand would become a reality. Receive my warm greetings! 😊

Wow, Thailand is such a beautiful place to visit! I've also heard that the food in Thailand was so good. I wish this pandemic would end already.

Oh yeah, that's true. Thailand is simply one of the world's best international destinations for tourists. As soon as this global health disaster is done, go ahead, book your flight and hotel, travel to the country, and enjoy everything Thai. You'll not regret it, that's a promise. 😀

Yes! Hopefully, I could travel there!

Hey @storiesoferne Wow Thailand, It's an incredible country and I truly enjoyed my stay. Since 2017, I have been there 4 times now and I would really love to visit again. I loved your pictures. If you ask me, I just love the way of living over there, people work during day and enjoy the time during evening. they are all so high spirited. I just didn't enjoyed the food as much. But the stay was wonderful.
Thanks for sharing your journey with us. I truly enjoyed reading it.
Keep flourishing, traveling and sharing.

Oh, that's wonderful. I'm delighted that you've also made Thailand one of your favorite international destinations. Going there 4 times must have filled your memory banks and made you nostalgic the moment you saw my photos here, right? That country is truly blessed with a rich mixture of interesting lifestyles, pleasures, and other perks designed to entertain foreign and local tourists.

Are you not fond of spicy food, typical of Thai dishes? If so, aside from Indian cuisine, what other meals fascinate your taste buds?

Hey @storiesoferne, Thailand is wonderful place to be for sure. Just the food was really hard to get around with as I and my family are not much fond of sea food. I saw octopus etc and we literally survived on MTR food mixes and subway etc kind of outlets.
I am fond of Indian cuisine, Italian too. What are your preferences?

Oh, okay I understand @praditya. It's great to be aware of your food choices. As for me, I'm pretty much an adventurous food lover. And I won't mind experimenting with my taste buds on different international cuisine as long as I find them delicious. Not to brag, Indian, Korean, British, Cambodian, American, Malaysian, Italian, Thai, Austrian, Chinese, French, Japanese, Arabic, Vietnamese, Turkish, and Filipino are some of the exciting dishes that have already landed inside my belly, lol. 🤣 Have an enjoyable weekend. 😊
