Well although that particular article only focuses on S&P 500 , it is actually true for other companies too ( atleast in India ) . I usually am interested these type of stuff and there really is inequality here .
Due to various social factors , women aren't yet able to reach their full potential .

Yes, the same happens here. There are some researches that show that diversity is actually good for business results but we don't see it that often here. We still have too few women, black people and minorities in general in leadership positions.

Diversity is good but I don't think moving people without the ability to take these positions is a good idea. If they have the skill set and ability to do the job without issues, then yes I think they should be moved up to leadership. But changing the pool to only woman or minorities can make some unqualified people move into leadership positions.

Yup, that's the idea. The problem is today the exact opposite happens. We have a lot of people moved up to leadership because they are white and male even though they lack the skills for the job.
Not unusual for a woman who is actually more qualified to get denied to a promotion and usually a very bullshit excuse follows like "Oh she's good, but she doesn't have the emotional control that the job requires" and stuff like that.

Very well said , these are the scenarios we must find a solution to . I don't believe in "white privilege" but sometimes "men privilege" happens :/ unfortunately .

You are right but what I am trying to say is , there are women with good skill set but due to social disability they aren't able to reach their potential .
I am not speaking for all women , I don't like 50% of the office should be women even though they don't know the job - NO , only those women who have the skill set but aren't getting the opportunities.

Right on , same here in India , a survey done couple of months ago said we are losing more than 250 billion $ because women are sitting at home taking care of family only rather than working even though they are capable of working.

In the US, I wouldn't say as much. Although there is still some inequality, there is definitely some concerning issues. For example in the military, I don't think they should reduce the standards to enter or pass exams because too many of them fail. If there is a problem with the exams itself then we can address it but to decide to change it just because too many of the recent woman applicants have failed it is bad.
You have to realize that they might be going out to war and if they can't do the basic stuff now, what will happen to them when they are in a situation that requires these skills?

Very good example . I agree to that . Bringing down standards , pulling down men isn't equality , it is about uplifting the women.

Part of it is what women choose to major in during school. I come across so many who get bs degrees believing that someone will hire them.
Few going into the stuff that leads to the top.
From my experience, a women's best path is in sales. They usually will outperform the men and sales and marketing is where a lot of CEOs come from...at least they always did.
Tech companies tend to be a bit different.

I absolutely agree and I don't support those . I am talking on behalf of those who have the necessary skills but due to social factors they are restricted to not work .
