Week 12 Results | 18W-20L-5P | +0.585 Units Profit

This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

This was a really interesting week as there were plenty of spots where I saw big value in the market which I also acted on. As I kind of expected, this didn't really turn out to be the case even though I did manage to get excellent closing line value of the bigger bets. If anything I learned that big edges are just very rare on the market especially if they are obvious when you are somewhat informed on things. I have no clue how the linemakers are doing it and I guess some kind of artificial intelligence is part of it, but it's really impressive.

However, all of this doesn't take away from the fact that it's actually able to beat the market which I have been doing for many years now. I will adjust things a bit trying to bet the smaller bets a bit bigger and the bigger bets a bit smaller getting things much closer to flat betting

More importantly, I'm still having a lot of fun handicapping and betting the league which remains a constant challenge full of surprises with lots of room to still improve upon my skill..

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2022-2023

I had 9 recommended bets last week with some double bets on Antwerp & Club Brugge which all combined resulted in a 5.5W-3L-0.5P and a nice +1.804 units profit. I will likely have fewer bets the coming mid-week.

Regular Season 2022-2023 Personal Betting Chart

I expected either a big jump up or possibly a correction to the downside based on the bigger bets but since 1 turned out in a winner and the other in a loser things went more sideways still making just over 0.5 units profit. I did reach 0.8 units staked again but expect lover volume the coming weeks, the main goal looking at the matches that will be played now is to just try to find some good value bets and nothing more regardless of the results.
