Hello. Again. I decided I should probably do another introduction since I've basically been absent for the last four years and haven't formally introduced myself on Hive. With the onset of the bear market and then the drama of the Steemit/Hive decisions, I felt that I had enough drama in real life to worry about and didn't need to add any more. So, I checked out. I basically only stayed in contact with one person (and that sporadically) over that time period,@moeknows, and he just gave me little pokes here and there to see if I was alive. :-) I am.
And so now I'm back. Imagine my surprise (and delight) to find out Hive is even better than Steemit ever was. I've had more fun in the last three days combing through the different communities than I ever did when I was on Steemit. This place just has an energy now that I never felt in the past. Maybe it's because there seems to be a plan being implemented; not just a bunch of people trying to collect votes.
Anyway, I'm a huge golfer (+1-4 handicap every year), a well-rounded sports fan (love my local teams and follow most sports a little more than casually + I ref high school basketball), I write poetry (something I've always enjoyed since a child), avid reader (every night before I go to bed), and very enthusiastic Bitcoin and cryptocurrency HODLer. I wouldn't say I'm a bitcoin maximalist, but I lean that way.
I'm hoping to bring a little bit of all of that to the platform, but what I really enjoy doing is combing through the content and finding interesting articles and people who can teach me something and I can engage with. For instance, did you know that they're now building houses and rib-eye steaks with 3D printers? There's a very suspicious divergence in the paper and spot price for silver? Buying cryptos is like getting a ticket on an airplane? The world may have to move to triple-entry accounting at some point? There's an awesome poem about weight gain by the aforementioned @moeknows?
I didn't either. Until I came here. All of that and more I learned in the last three days!!! It's pretty fun. In the meantime, I'm trying to power down my Steem and move it over into LEO and HIVE. That was probably my best surprise: I got an equal amount of Hive in the fork so I don't need to completely start over. Did I mention I love crypto? :-)
Anyway, to avoid the TL;DR from getting any bigger, I'll end here. I'm sure I'll see many of you around the space as this journey continues. May it be an enlightening and profitable one for all of us.

Glad to have you back. I personally like the d.buzz community as well. I like the short form (microblog) content and they have helped me to stay relevant because otherwise I probably wouldn't have posted very often.
Also, keep in mind that Leo is working on their own microblogging platform as well with its own token. That token will be air dropped to those if us with staked Leo. So keep that in mind when moving your steem over to Hive and Leo.
